Baskets? We don't need no stinking baskets.

I couldn't find any one day at a Safeway I used to go to. Even up front by the registers. OK, weird, but whatever. After a few more visits of the same I finally asked somebody.

People were loading them up with groceries and bolting out the door to a waiting car.

This is why we can't have nice things? Society is making it so we don't have things at all.

Im sure they wouldn't mind you going to the backpacks section of Walmart and just filling one up as you shopped. Then at the checkout register just give the bag back. That should go over well.

We haven't had plastic bags at checkout here for a long time so I have to bring re-usables now anyway. I've use one as a basket many times and am well aware of all the side eye looks I get. Mostly from other costumers.

They DIDN'T even drop it off at the post office. Person at the post office even got my name/number and told me they'd let me know if they ever did get it.

Called the main customer service and they said that it's possible it was just returned to the sender and to contact the sender about this. Which makes no sense because I don't know who the sender is which is part of the point of all this. The online tracking of the item just said the card was left saying where to pick it up, but the person on the phone said the site might not be updated to when the item was sent back to the sender. So who knows what's going on. Either the item really is getting sent back to sender(and hopefully they re-send it), or something worse happened like delivery person actually just kept it for themselves or it fell off the truck or something.

I checked my Amazon and eBay accounts just incase someone hacked it and some reason ordered something to my house, but that wasn't the case either.
That is weird...and reminds me of something that happened to me recently:
A couple months ago, I got a call from someone 3 hours away on the other side of Michigan that they had received a FedEx package addressed to me at work. Had no idea what it was but recognized the company in the return address so told them to send it on. When it arrived, I looked at the shipping insert...the package was sent in October 19, 2016. Even stranger, there was a tube inside that had a USPS postmark from November 1, 2016. FedEx's tracking system only lists the most recent trip and makes no mention of it coming from Iowa, where the sending company is.

When your cable box craps out like mine just did today. We've had the box less then a year. Spectrum SUCKS! At least they are sending a tech out between 7 and 8 tonight, but I lose any taped shows I have on it.

When fast food restaurants give you a kiddie cup for water that doesn't even have a matching lid for it. I get that they don't want to have you running away with like a gallon of water, but to each their own I guess.

Yup, my DVR crapped out on me and I had so many recorded shows and movies. It's unbearable. They gave us a replacement DTV Genie device that is 4K-ready, but if you read my Amazon review you can find out that I've had nothing but trouble with it. Somehow nobody else has any of the issues that I do, even though the only uncommon thing that I have others don't would be the Logitech Harmony remote.

Yeah i hate those little shot glasses of water. I usually dont drink water at fast-food places, but when i have, i got the kiddie cup too. It made me want to pull a chair up to the drink fountain and eat my meal there. The cup might as well come with the words "WE DONT TRUST YOU" printed on the side of it lol.

With people being arrested for putting a soft drink in the water cup/cup for water I'll just grab something at the convenience store.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?

Almost crashed today because of some idiot.

I was going straight down a side street , they had a stop sign from the left of me(from that sign you could either turn left and go the direction I'm going, or right to the street I came from. Going straight means you go to a curb). I went straight, they went straight! Luckily we both stopped in time, but they're crazy. Stop sign and you can't go straight! I drove off after, but looked behind to see what they were doing. They made a u turn of sorts to park by the curb. Not only shouldn't you do that, but a car was coming and you were at a stop sign.

People drive so stupidly. One I hate the most is when you're turning left at a 4 way intersection, the car on the other side is driving straight. You think they're going straight, so you wait to turn, only for them to put on their indicator while turning! I could've gone if I knew they were gonna turn. Similar at stop signs. We both get to a stop at same time. Neither has indicator on. I go straight, they suddenly turn in front of me and only then put their indicator on!

People need to learn what an indicator is! You need it so others know which way you're going, more than 1 second in advance. Amount of people I see not using indicator at all, or just using it at last possible second is annoying. If I was an undercover cop, I'd probably be everyone's most hated cop for cracking down on this stuff. Drive around for a day and you'd get so many people breaking the laws of the road.

                        Another Walmart one for me.

The ginormous length of your receipt that you are given. I only bought milk and bananas and the receipt was like a foot and half long.

Enter For a chance to win this, "How did we do today?"., etc, etc. So much crap on the slip. How much paper must they waste?

I recall Jimmy Fallon making several jokes about CVS's receipts being like this too.

Stores should find a way to reduce that. I can understand why it's long, especially if you return the item, but customers and employees copy should be completely different. Most info on customer receipt, customers don't care about. Though I'm sure that paper is so cheap, reducing it won't save much money.

Speaking of that survey, I wonder if anyone ever actually wins. Is there any proof they're giving out money, or are they just getting completely free feedback? Also, subway is the worst survey ever. It literally says to enter their survey and you get a free cookie. That's it. No chance to win anything, just a 25 cent cookie.

I want to add something to the Walmart complaint. I bought a few things there one day, including a bag of Ruffle's potato chips. I checked out and paid for my items, and almost immediately i looked down and noticed that the bag of Ruffles was partially opened. I asked if i could get a different one. I was informed that i would have to go to Customer Service because i had already paid for it. Really?? Irritated, but politely, i went to Customer Service. I was second in line, but the first person took 10 minutes. Then i got to the customer service rep. I told her what happened. She told me that before she could exchange it, i would need first to go to the back of the store to get a replacement and come back. So, holding my tongue, i trekked across Walmart to get a single bag of Chips.

Made it back to Customer Service, and waited again for the rep who held the original bag of chips. When she finally started helping me, it took her literally 15 minutes to complete the exchange. I told her how ridiculous this was and she admitted the same, that she had worked there for years and it frustrates her too.

The entire process ended up taking about 30 minutes. Had i known i would get caught up in that, i would have dropped the bag into the garbage can and stopped at gas station and purchased a $5 replacement bag. I didnt particularly want to have shelled out over $8 for one good bag of chips, but would have done it, since it was for a lunch with several people. I kept thinking the transaction would be over any second. By the time they had my receipt and credit card and driver's license (seriously??) in their hand i was kind of stuck there.

Had i noticed the opened bag 10 seconds before, i could have just replaced it, but once i paid for it became the worst instance of red tape in the history of all colors of tape.

Dude there is no way that should have happened. Seriously they should have just swapped bags with you (you already paid) and since the other bag was damaged it's shrink. Common sense. I've worked for Vons (IE Safeway/Albertson) for almost 19 years and it's never worth the time for that. I'm a Produce Manager and if a customer comes up to me with a bad fruit or vegetable I swap it out, throw the bad one away, and send them on their way. No register involved. Easy peasy.

Yeah believe me i told them that lol. But i was told by 3 different employees that day that this is the process. I still hold that those 3 people didnt know what they are doing, so i gave Walmart the benefit of the doubt. Just cant be how you do things for customers.
