Yeah, it can be annoying if it's pretty blatant.

On the other hand, people are incredibly impatient. So you have to wait 30 seconds to 1 minute for someone to get dropped off. Relax, it's not going to affect your day THAT much.

When you press an area on your phone screen but a site suddenly decides it's not done loading and shifts everything on the page down an inch or two so that the area you pressed 1 second ago is now a different link or an ad or a video, etc.

This morning while I was waiting to cross an intersection to catch my bus there was a semi delivering beer to one of the bars and blocking a lane of traffic. A guy had stopped right behind him and started honking his horn then got out of his car to start yelling at the truck driver who I think maneuvered his truck over to the curb some more so the traffic could get through. Then later when I was on my bus, there was a garbage truck working its way down a different street and blocking the lane of traffic while it was stopped.

Also, the other day I saw a bus with it's right turn signal on but then it turned left.

This is not specific to phones either. This happens to me constantly on OS (and a few other sites) when using my laptop.

Why use my turn signal? I know where I'm turning.
Why edge over toward the curb so others can get by? I have someone to pick up here!

              Sad.
Maybe an artifact of our survival instincts? Maybe not so sad after all in the long arc of human history. Very frustrating when dealing with this in the moment though.

The worst. The Ringer does this to me every time. I use the Reading Mode option whenever available. Only problem is then images or videos included in the article don’t appear always, but it’s worth it unless those things are necessary.

And when you go back, you accidentally do it again.

Then the next time you wait... wait, wait, wait... wait for it to load before you click....... and nothing is changing, so you click.... and damn it they did it again!

Partially this. And I don't necessarily disagree with it as a general principle (not that it's even an opinion, it's just sort of a fact), but the problem is this should only be the case for zero-sum situations or those involving survival. Sure, if there's 1 chicken left and I have to feed my family, then it's every man for himself. But in modern society, we've developed communities and systems that are essentially based on the 'honor system' that work well if people are generally considerate, but that are increasingly breaking down.

I don't want to be one of those people that are like "everything was better in the 60's" or whatever, because it definitely wasn't, but certain little things that are necessary for day-to-day living can be so much smoother and less stressful if people were just slightly considerate or even had it occur to them that perhaps their actions affect others. I mean, it doesn't ruin my day that I waited an extra 90 seconds to turn because I thought the guy was going straight when in fact he turned at the street without signaling, or that someone destroyed the office kitchen or spilled all over the microwave without cleaning up, but over the course of a few days/weeks, the irritation at the little (avoidable) things does start to pile up. And it's not like it takes extra effort to just pull over a little or signal - you can still do whatever you want, it just helps others do what they want as well. In other words, it's not zero-sum; everyone can win.

Anyway, I'm not gonna change the world's mind on this by ranting in an OS sub-forum, so I'll just shut up about it and try to enjoy the rest of my day...

This happens so often now - across all devices (laptop, desktop, phone, tablet) - and with so many websites, that I'm starting to think that it's intentional. I think the websites are intentionally loading or inserting pop-in ads at select (or random) times so that you are essentially forced into clicking on them by accident. I think it's a ploy to get ad clicks up. But there's no way it's an accident or an unintentional phenomenon - this never happened to me prior to a year or so ago, and now it happens every day.

Getting behind a school bus on a country road and they stop every 0.1 mile to pick up 1 kid, whose parent is sitting there with him/her in his/her (input above average priced car here).

One thing I don't miss is having to walk 4-5 blocks in the dark morning to reach a bus stop.
