Re: You know what really grinds my gears?

I've got a high tolerance for pretty much everything I've put in my system. The one surgery I've had they had to use almost double the dose of what they normally have to to put a patient out. Then had to use more of the reversal drug to bring me back awake.

Night time cold meds don't do anything for me. I feel like I'd have to OD on a bottle for it to put me to sleep.

Sound like my wife Mabster. I always tell her to let doctor's know that her body reacts differently then most to medicines/procedures like that.

Only thing I ever take is NyQuil when I'm stuffed up. Works like a charm.

One thing that doesn't affect me is caffeine. I can drink a cup of coffee or a 20oz Mtn Dew (lol Mtn) and go right to sleep.

I loved the relaxer they gave me when I pulled a muscle in my back last month. The doctor said it will make you sleepy... funny! I got the pain relief and never felt drowsy. Which is great given I fall asleep way too early. That has to be the best medicine I've ever had. Actually does what it should without any detriments.

The gear grinder was hurting my back in the first place because that was a painful few hours until I got to the doctor and had the prescription filled.

          End of long weekend.

It revolved mostly around playoff baseball for majority of it which was nice, but now that weekend itself over, sucks getting back into regular routine again. Even more so cause weather starts getting colder and colder, and days get darker faster.

Nice to get away from things for awhile, but then once reality comes right back, it sucks.

Forget a long weekend. End of the weekend. Period. I'm so tired of going into work. If I walked out tomorrow the place would fall apart and I sure don't get a lot to show for that these days. They're going to drive me insane here soon.

Posting something in a technical forum, then when you emphasize you're not any kind of advanced techie kind of a guy, the people who answer your question act like you know what the hell they're talking about with their terms and references. This is why I came to the site in the first place. If I knew my ****, I wouldn't be asking you guys!

Yeah, does seem like they've had a lot of big updates lately. I don't mind the updates though so much as the issue I've been having with them not installing properly or something so that my computer just sits there forever with a blank screen and the spinning dots busy icon thing until I hard reboot it.

I'm not even updating windows anymore. Last one messed up one of my important programs, I had to reformat it.

I had to get a new hard drive because an update messed up my laptop. They do seem constant to the point of annoyance.

You know what really grinds my gears?

Yeah, ain't that some sh... my work computer is getting up there in age and I can just feel the end coming on with these new "updates."

Worse: Apple with their daily reminder to update to iOS10 or Windows updates?

I'd probably go with the Apple update. They're not making their older models obsolete technically, but they'll annoy you into forced obsoletion with bogged down or non-optimized junk. The constant pop-up which you can't disable (besides some serious technical workarounds... block it through your router or never go on wifi... sure thing!) has me on the brink.

They're lucky Samsung's best new feature is Exploding Phone mode.

The combo of automatic updates and a broken update last week had me coming home to my computer at the login screen every day with the "Couldn't finish installing updates" crap every day, then a half hour later, "there's a new update to install". Microsoft has really outdone themselves.

Have had them downloading/installing when I'm in games now. Especially definition updates. I miss the old "set it to never check for updates" on 7 and 8/8.1. I can get the updates on my own and don't need them taking CPU and memory away from installing.

Litterers. It's not a lazy thing. It's more like look at how much I DGAF. Is your home so dirty the rest of the world should look like that? Is it now cool to throw **** into the streets?

Two days in a row this week, I'm at a stop light and somebody walking in the crosswalk flippantly throws a piece of trash over their shoulder.
