Mystery sounds in the middle of the night. Not coming from my house, or outside my house, but either a neighbor or down the street. Sounds like someone doing work in their garage or someones empty trash can being hit. During the day who cares, but at 1-3am? Come on man.

Had the guy next door redoing his floors and he'd be pounding until 10-11 at night. Guy across the street is building his house himself... which good for him, but he is out there until 10 or 11 most nights. Luckily he is inside more these days as it is colder so I don't hear as much.

And then I hear general road noise despite living out a ways from cities and highways. I have to give in and go to ear plugs some nights because it's just so loud to me for some reason even with little traffic. I don't get how I can hear that so well, but can't always make out someone on the phone.

Anybody else sleep with a box fan purely for the white noise?

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

lol it's weird to think what some people must be thinking during some of the times they do work. Deciding at random times in the day/night to suddenly do things like that. Or even at rare times I'd hear someone cutting their grass minutes after it stops raining, when it's cold outside,at like 7pm lol.

At least it's individual people where if they make too much noise, you know where they live. Seems like every year someone on my street is tearing down their house and building it up bigger. It requires so many trucks all day every day. What's worse is how those trucks get here early in the morning, and literally wait till the minute they're legally allowed to start making construction noises to start up their bulldozers, cement trucks, excavators. Nothing like waking up to the sounds of a construction zone every morning with literal drilling sounds in your head.

Absolutely, and I leave fans of some sort on all day to help drown other noises out, I fall asleep with the TV on (sleep timer), and sometimes set the TV to an orchestra/symphony during the day just for a cool mood. Dead silence can be hard to endure

I have two fans and it's still not enough to drown out any BS noise.

I keep the box fan in the basement since the rest of the house has ceiling fans, but I might have to get another one for that. Like now, I woke up early like I usually do, but I just hear loud cars for some reason at 3 AM so can't fall back asleep to get to my normal time.

Another one that doesn't affect my sleep at least: the moron in the Dodge that has to punch it to get up the hill out of the neighborhood at 5 AM. I'm usually awake when he does it, but if your Ram is that weak, maybe you should have invested in something better.

People that scream that Division Pride mess when talking about PRO TEAMS.

"We got the best division in the league!" says fan of 1-4 team in said division. My response to him was "Congrulations, do you get a banner or trophy for that as well?"

If he's a Colts fan, it's possible that he could get a banner for it.

There are just too many acronyms. You have acronyms for everything. Sports players, video games, my whole job is full of acronyms.

Sort of related to acronyms, there's a couple sports things I can't stand. First being the abbreviated Go (blank) Go where it turns into G_G (I see GJG for Go Jets Go all the time and I can't stand it!) and the other one is using a players initials and number as a nickname (TB12, CP3)

We have that problem at work. Everyone has to put everything into an acronym.
