Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Usually this is a sign of a company with poor management in place.
Sounds like you may need a job but this place seems like it'll bring headaches very quickly.
I've been on their end where you may like a candidate but simply not completely 100% sold on them. If that's the case, they should just move on instead of stringing you along with false hope.
I don't think they've hired anyone else. They would've easily told you so.
Anyway, I have moved on, as it's likely not going to happen, and also I have read and heard some bad things about this company. But being unemployed, you can't be too picky. Hopefully there will be some other opportunity. My Specs:

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Several weeks ago I applied for a job online. A couple of days later, one of the top guys emails me about a phone interview. So we schedules the interview, it goes well and they have me coming for an in-person interview a couple of days later, they seemed to be trying to rush things...
So I have a panel-of-3 interview (which seemed to go very well), and a week later I get an email from one of the guys at the interview, saying that they think I'd be a great fit for the company, however at this point they are going through some "transition" process and not sure when they will be able to hire. So I email back and ask them to let me know when they are ready.
Then after several days I decide to see what's going on, so I email the guy back telling him I need to know where things stand so I can evaluate another job offer (which I didn't even have). So the guy emails back after 3 days saying that again he thinks I would be a good fit, but they still don't know exactly when they will be ready to hire, and that if I have another job offer I should feel free to take it.
So I emailed back and told him to let me know when they are done with the "transition" process and if I'm still available, then we can talk.
It's been a week since then and I don't really expect to hear from them ever again. What's bothering me is that at the beginning they were rushing rushing rushing to get me in for an interview. What was the point of that? I don't know what to make of the situation, but me guess is that they had already hired someone and not sure about that person and trying to keep me around just in case. Or they're just toying with people.
I have pretty much used every curse word I have for them, which I would not post here. But it sucks.
Anyway, sometimes it's absolutely nothing to do with you and just internal inefficiencies or other things getting in the way. Or bad timing. It just stinks that some companies don't do a good job of explaining why they're keeping people dangling like that, or else for whatever reason they can't communicate that.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Thanks, I appreciate your reply. Hopefully I can find something because being unemployed sucks...especially if it's been a while. I don't have as much networking as I would like to, and seems like that's the only way to find a job here (I hope I'm wrong). Might have to go back to my native country if nothing changes. We'll see.My Specs:

toilet paper dispensers tthat are so low to the ground even a little person would have difficulty getting the paper out.
Now, I carry one of those keys that open them up so I use that when I can.
This is what I have and I'm looking for a couple other that fit the majority of the rest I run into.

I can't believe I haven't posted this before, because this applies to like my everyday life:
When a curb that can easily fit two cars has one car parked right in the middle, especially in front of my house.
And it always seems to be some self-entitled BMW elitist prick.
