You're not supposed to do it in blocks, that's the point. It's a mindset, not a method.

The practice is supposed to train your brain to think in a different way when able to. It's number sense.

With no teaching experience and watching our 9 & 8 year old nieces do multiplication tables - I would think simply memorizing isn't really teaching them any math skills. Just the prerequisite memorizing of math tables which is just memorizing the answers to certain math problems/formulas. Teaching them the mechanics and being able to correspond those to additional problems and more advanced formulas would be the base I would think.

Ah, another 'burgh Giant Eagle customer! What really ground my gears at my store was that the self-checkout belt was so fickle; if a box of cereal fell over or a potato tumbled down the belt too fast, it would stop the belt and flash the light, and of course the roving attendant took forever to get to you whilst you're stood there helpless. Anyway, I'd say it grinds my gears, but I have to make it past-tense because they recently upgraded their self-checkout setup and it's now very smooth.

That's why I love the fact that my closest neighbor is a little over 1 1/4 miles away

I love my country life. I can pee off my front porch...uh, but I don't do that, just saying I could if I wanted to

I can't off the front (front of house only about 100 yards from "main" road), but I can off the back, and do!

100 yards? That would be plenty of distance for any passerby to not see anything at my house

Putting a brand new ink cartridge(s) in my printer and it instantly prints an alignment page wasting my ink and paper.

I'm 100% sure this is a calculated waste procedure on the part of the manufacturers. The whole modern obsession with 'recurring revenue streams' is a total gear-grinder for me...

The fact that you could buy a new printer for less than the cost of replacement cartridges says all that you need to know about these companies.

                            Needless waste. Not surprised.

If I hear another version of Careless Whisper in a movie or series I'm going to go atomic.

                                That sucks majorly.

On the other hand, my printer literally pulled this on me last week:
