Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Another instance similar to this is when I rented a bike while vacationing on the beach to ride up and down the boardwalk. I would ride to buy a smoothie then drink it while riding, and after finishing I would try and toss it into a trash can on the move. If I missed, I would stop, go back, pick it up and throw it away. There always seemed to be some elderly person nearby who would say, "Thank you for doing that, young man. Most kids would just keep riding and litter our beach."

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Well I ****ing hate streaming, but I'm going to get into a specific complaint.
I hate the rewind/fast-forward controls on them and when they don't seem to give me very good control of where I'm trying to seek, especially when you run into an infinite load issue or it needs to buffer higher quality bitrates again.
The fact that every streaming thing has different kinds of controls as well makes it tough to work out what will do what and when. Sometimes I just try to exit a time slider and in some apps it exits the thing I'm playing, etc.
Just please don't take away my UHD's and Blu-rays ever. I know they want to and they will eventually, but consider those who have it much easier and better with what they've got lol. Not everybody likes streaming.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
This isn't a gear-grinder, but I don't get it and have a question on it.
I'm looking up whether a restaurant is open tonight, and below are its displayed hours:
Friday–Sunday: 5:00pm–10:00pm
Monday & Tuesday: Closed
Wednesday & Thursday: 5:00pm–10:00pm
I know, I know... Friday - Sunday is a weekend so it's more viewer-friendly to see them posted separately... but if Wednesday & Thursday have the same times, why not say Wednesday - Sunday? Or why not just say 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM, closed Mon & Tues?
It's a silly thing, but I've seen this before and wonder what goes into the decision making of that.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

1) it's a seasonal thing and one of those two blocks of Wednesday-Sunday are sometimes different operating hours
or 2) one of those two blocks Wednesday-Sunday used to have different operating hours but when they changed, someone neglected to consolidate the two blocks into one
I'd bet there are probably other possibilities I haven't considered as well

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
The old people in my neighborhood. We're not getting better internet now because of them.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
A couple made flyers and went around to all the neighbors. The flyer had all the information for the contractor on it and said what they were doing was illegal and told people to call the contractor and say they were not allowed to work on their property without their permission. I called the contractor and said do whatever you want to my yard, but apparently at least three other people had already called and complained the same day. He was adamant they were still going to do the job and told me they'd be starting the next day. But here we all.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
if someone is 15 years younger than me, then they are ''young'', if they're fifteen years older than me, then they are ''old''
no two groups annoy my gears as much as the old & the youngOSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23
