Re: You know what really grinds my gears?

Experienced a new one with bandwagon/fair weather fans. Got in my truck to go to wal mart and noticed Mizzou v. A&M was going into overtime. Takes me 5 minutes to get there. As I am walking in a guy decked out in a&m gear comes walking out with his family and cart full of groceries.

Really? REALLY? You are going to sport an A&M jacket and hat and not watch the game? The guy is either a ***** for not watching, or a bigger ***** for letting his wife make him go to wal mart on a Saturday will your team is playing?

Technically thats a bandwagoner. A fair weather keeps the same team, but only emerges when that team is winning. Bandwagoners have low self esteem so they must associate with a winner to feel complete. Fair weather have a fear of losing so they don't associate with their team when they are losing. Both are suffering from some type of childish disorder.

Man, I can sometimes understand fair weather fans (I mean, just look what I subject myself to with the Jaguars and Hokies). Bandwagoners I don't at all.

I didn't watch the Skins game yesterday because I didn't want my Sunday to be any worse than what it was.

People that whistle when they say words that end with the letter "s". Heard a commercial on the radio and the guy was doing this, I wanted to drive the car off a cliff but no cliffs were available.

Exactly, all of them claimed to be Cardinals fans since they were a child.

When I'm reading a thread on OS and the page suddenly snaps back up to where it initially loaded after I've scrolled down a ways.

When people take things from http://www.operationsports.com/forum...s-phrases.html and put them in other threads because they think they're being funny.

Maybe it was funny the first time somebody repeated it to make a joke in that thread, it's annoying as F'k when I run into it a completely unrelated thread.

He could have been an alum, or a fan of a different sport, or maybe he just didn't care about a game on TV when he has a family and stuff to do.

When people use the terms "hubby" and "wifey" when referring to their spouses. It make me want to punch a small child (preferably one that belongs to the offending parties) right in the face.
