My roommates "girlfriend" (long story in itself) started to watch the Shawshank Redemption on TV a few nights ago. She said that she had only seen one part of it, not telling us which part, and that she liked that one part.

She starts watching the movie from the beginning and just after the head guard kill the chubby fat--- guy, SHE CHANGED THE CHANNEL, stating that she was just going to fall asleep if she kept trying to watch it (which she does every time she comes over anyway). She flipped over to a re-run of Family Guy and, as expected, fell asleep 10 minutes later.

I can understand changing the channel if you have seen Shawshank before, it's on TV all the time, (Which leads to the question of how had she never seen it before.) but I cannot believe that someone would change the channel to juvenile drivel from a great American movie.

This deserves a full, un-acronymed Shaking My Head.

We really need this roommate GF back story. I am so glad I never had a roommate outside of military life.

I had a female roommate. That was odd especially when I got married and couldn't get out of the lease so my wife was living there too.

So you can add me to the list of roommates grinding my gears. I'm glad I'll never have to live with one again.

When I sit down to watch a game and it immediately goes to commercial.

Or how about when your watching a game (usually football) and they come back from a commercial break, show one play (usually a kickoff), then go right back to commercial.

When you tell someone a story and they respond with "That's OK but this one time..." and go on to tell you a similar story that happened to them as if they are trying to one up you in some kind of story competition you are supposedly in.

But I think its more annoying when people do that and like, they like, lie about certain things, cause like they know its not gonna be as good.

Stink bugs. I killed 5 of those little ****s yesterday. I don't know what it is, but it seems like I've been getting invaded by those damn things.

For the past 2 years that's all we have here.
They are EVERYWHERE!!. Not talking 5-10 but in the 20-30 every day we can kill etc..
Some places you could see them covering sides of peoples houses.

It's a freaking epidemic and they are taking over the world.

People that talk like this with every sentence they say. I have taken a custom of counting the number of "likes" they speak in one question or statement to the professor. I think the highest is seven, and that was just from one thought.

When a basketball game, college or pro, has 3.2 seconds left in it, and it takes 5 minutes to finish.......timeout, commercial, set up play, doesn't look good, another timeout, another commercial, set up play,inbound, foul, foul shots, timeout, commercial.........

You get the idea. Just end the damn game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any close basketball game(one with a single digit lead) will have the last 5 minutes literally take as long as the other 15 minutes of the half at the very least. It's frustrating and almost kills the suspense in a way for me.

The lack of fast breaks and the magnetic bond players have in NBA 2K12. Now I remember why I stopped playing this game months ago. It is my new goal to fix that BS.
