Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Just happened this morning... When you are in a long line at a place (such as Starbucks) and people walking in happen to know customers either at the cash register or close to it. Not only do they proceed to cut in line but they also have to order SEVERAL super complicated drinks, breakfast sandwiches, etc which makes my coffee run that much longer.

I signed in, it was getting close to closing time.. all 3 hair cutters were busy with clients and I was sitting there waiting for a good 30 minutes. I was patient just sitting and waiting they said it was only a 20 minute wait but whatever. There was one person ahead of me and they took them, so I was expecting to be next to go.
Then some guy just walks in, and he knew the Hair cutter that came up to sign him in. They talked for a bit, she went back to cutting hair.. and when she came back to the desk, She said ok come on up, to the Dude who just walked in 2 minutes ago! While I was sitting there for 40 plus minutes now. Now I'm not one to make a scene or anything, they took me as the last cut of the night and I didn't say anything in protest, as it was really that one Hair cutter's fault.
I went home pretty pissed though, I never went back to that haircut place again even if I had to travel to further Barbershops, Hair cutters.Last edited by Feared; 11-18-2012, 03:59 PM.Minnesota Vikings

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
It feels awfully good being on the other side of that cutting in line problem.
Last year, a friend of mine was working in the cafeteria and she would be one of the three people making omelets on Saturday mornings. She would take my friends and I's orders from the bottom of the stack and not make us wait. Those omelets are delicious.Comment

Ugh the first one. I've bitched my fiance out because she got her little sister (9 whose parents already gave her an iPhone) one of the new ipads. Seriously. WTF, you don't need a cellphone until you start driving in these days. You definitely don't need a tablet til you save your own damn money and buy one.

It's crazy to me that a 9 year old has an iPhone 5, new ipad, and her own laptop. More gadgets than adult teeth I swear.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
I'm fine with the kids who have cheap dumb phones at 10 'cause they walk/commute home and they're for emergencies. I had a dumbphone at 10.
But yeah, there was an 8 year old at a camp I volunteered at who had all the iPhone/iPad etc. things."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
No need for a true tablet here. I have my original Kindle fire for a third of the price and it does everything I ever need it for (90 percent books and magazines).

And when you're standing in line with said handful of things (or even one or two items) you still have people with full carts going ahead of you anyways.Comment
