I swear some people at my work make loud, public comments just to see if someone will bite.

Try having a discussion where I work.

My Sales Manager is also a mayor of a small City close to where I live.

He's never wrong.. about anything. Even when he is, he can't admit it.

The fact that I can't play defense in NCAA 14. I have an undefeated UConn dynasty ranked #4, but I am ranked at least 100th in every defensive category except running, where I am 68th. To be undefeated, I have to have the best offense in the country, which I do, but every game is close, and I find myself trailing late and having to come back.

I can't run in 14. It seem no matter what play I call other than read options, I barely get 2 or 3 yards.

I've had success, and increasing amounts in my last few games. I am best at stretch runs or anything up the middle. I can't get the draw play to be effective though. On options, my QB keeps it 80% of the time, with mixed results. I lead the country in rushing TD's, but most of those came from inside the 5.

When someone comes in to rent a car and you asked for their driver's license and they go..

"Oh, I don't have it on me.. Do I need that?"

              Really?

You want me to rent you a car with no way of verifying that you have a valid driver's license?

When you're cleaning the women's room and you're emptying out the, uhh... feminine products into your garbage can and one falls out the side and misses the can.

Wet down a paper towel and throw it at the ground. That's the sound it made.

I turned my head, I looked at it, and in a weird way it was looking back at me, and I knew there weren't enough rubber gloves in the world to make this not traumatizing. But it had to go into that garbage can.

                    It can work - sometimes.

I work with a girl whose belief system is basically the polar opposite of mine in almost all respects. But we are capable of delving into and discussing controversial subjects, even when one of us wholeheartedly believes the other one is wrong.

It's really not that difficult if both individuals are willing to listen and calmly converse. It's just rare to find individuals that are willing to do so.

Anyway, another gear grinder for me:

I was playing The Show last night and had a no hitter going through 7+ innings and my ****ing power went out. DAMN IT!

Oh boy, guess what I just did? So I work on a towboat and we are currently dry docked (suspended several feet above water to fix rudder problems). We have an accumulation of about 18 trash bags filled with food and other miscellaneous garbage that has been collected over the 17 or so days I've been on the boat. Monday, one of my coworkers decides the easiest way to get rid of the bags is to have a crane operator send us a bucket, we fill said bucket with garbage bags, crane operator picks up bucket and dumps the garbage.

Today is Saturday. Dude forgot to let the crane operator know we were ready to remove the garbage from the boat. It's also the weekend and the crane operator won't be back until Tuesday at the earliest and we get off the boat Monday. Therefor, 3 of us had to carry all 18 if these sun-drenched, rain-soaked, maggot infested garbage down a 20 foot ladder, up a small flight of stairs, across a sketchy bridge and through mud before throwing them into a dumpster.

                                ...at 6:30 this morning.
