Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Knowing that I completely missed the Evan_OS comeback thread. Started to ignore the advice threads and completely missed an anticipated one.
I guess I'll go find the 'Pleasures of Life' thread and post that Evan_OS has made a comeback thread.#WashedGamerComment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
"Damn, Harvey pitched great, he only made 1 mistake" i just hate it when ppl say that. Anything thats hit for a HR, avg fans consider that as a mistake. Same thing goes for a lot of the commentators. "ah, Holland has been dealing, only making two mistakes by giving up two solo HR" hmmmm
Not gonna lie, but a lot of baseball teams have dumb commentators.
Most homeruns are good hitters taking advantage of a pitchers mistake.
There is no coincidence in the fact that these guys crush homeruns in batting practice and don't duplicate that performance in games.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
That gif kind of blurs the fact that half of those could have been hanging breaking balls or missed pitches that Cabrera took advantage as you can't completely tell what the catcher is doing for each one vs. their being the pitcher's best pitch, he hit his mark, and Cabrera is just that good. I'm not saying he isn't, but that doesn't prove one way or the other. The low pitch and low-and-away pitch don't fall into the mistake list, though, I will say that.Comment

What does it matter if it was a mistake or not? The location of the pitch is still the location of the pitch. Pitchers get away with these mistakes all the time and I still wouldn't consider pitches that miss out of the zone mistakes. The one that is clear as day in that GIF is super impressive. To turn on a fastball that far inside and drive it out of the park takes incredible strength and wrist action. I also don't see many guys hitting fastballs at their face out of the ball park.Last edited by JODYE; 08-05-2013, 09:34 AM.Cubs | Bulls | Dolphins | 'Noles

I order things without tomatoes because I am allergic. My last taco salad from Taco Bell had tomatoes. This place knows my car by sight and they still got it wrong. I just picked the tomatoes off and hoped the juices didn't make me sick.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Two things that got to me at the gym today:
1. Some dude dropping weights. Seriously, if you can't put that ish down in a reasonable manner don't lift it. Got everyone's PTSD turning on because you want to be the cool guy.
2. I was waiting on the bench. As I waited I decided to stretch and grab some water. When I went for the water, the guy on the bench finished but some other dude jumped on it. Buddy toyed with his iPod for 10 minutes. Walked around the bench and stared at himself in the mirror for another 5 minutes. Took about 3 minutes to drink a half gallon of water and then walked over and took another 5-7 minutes trying to fill the thing up in the water fountain. Went back to the bench and played with his iPod for another 3 minutes. Then took another 2 minutes deciding what weight he wanted. He went into a set I figured for a guy his size should be a warm up (maybe 150 lbs). 3 reps. All that for 3 reps! But he wasn't done - he went back to toying with his iPad for another 3 minutes before finishing off his "set" with another 3 reps! You gotta be kidding me! Dudes be in the gym for 5 hours and only do 5 minutes of actually lifting. That was annoying as hell...#WashedGamerComment

Trash pickup.
They sent a letter saying they were going to start providing the trash cans and they are going up $10/mo. Our cans are perfectly good and we usually need both of them. I all ready thought $36.00 was outrageous.
Oh, but they will provide another for a nominal fee. **** that.Comment

The circus. It's not 1930, don't get how people enjoy watching animals perform when the questionable history of "training" is pretty long.Last edited by SuperBowlNachos; 08-06-2013, 11:26 PM.Comment
