Re: You know what really grinds my gears?

Found this to be an interesting article about my parking citation experience. Looked up the code violation I was cited for and this is the first thing that came up.

A Ticket On a Taurus Grows Into Much More

Since the article is from 2007 the VA General Assembly has problem updated their legislation to make it 'OK' to do this now... who knows, still need to find the actual PWC County Code definition.

EDIT: I think I have a case here, I don't think the county did anything to update the ordnance, and its funny as hell that the citation officer P Biller on my citation (Patricia Biller) is the same officer from 2004 whoc wrote a citation on a retired Navy Captain whose inspection/registration stickers were outdated.

Don't they offer on-line registration renewals?

I think it takes all of 2 minutes to complete our renewals, but we don't have to do any on-site emissions tests or any crap like that.

They have online, but I re-up every 2 years & every 2 yrs VA requires emissions tests.

I found case law where the navy captain I posted the article on won and forced Prince William.Co to update its code IAW VA State Code.

It just so happens that they added code 13-327 for citing vehicles with outdated stickers on private property, however my citing officer used the wrong code, three one for public highways... so I think I can get off on a technicality.

So put that lazy in your pipe and smoke it lol.

I never understood the "too busy" excuse.

You didn't have 1 minute at the beginning of the month to set up an appointment at the end of the month, and than give yourself 30 days to figure out how you're going to get the car inspected?

Going on vacation at the end of the month? Get the appointment set up in the middle of the month.

            Work? Public Transportation. Car Pool.

                    Yea I'm with you.

Luckily, in PA and was able to re-register online which was easy (we have to do it every year), but I haven't been able to get my inspection.

I wish my life was as easy and simple as it apparently is for others.

I have similar other responsibilities as you that unfortunately take precedent to getting my car inspected at the moment.

Public transportation isn't an option from where I live to go to work so I need the car to get to work monday through Friday so unfortunately I'm left with Saturday's and unfortunately I didn't have a free Saturday in July.

Like you, I accept responsibility for that and admit fault but I too take issue with others saying it's as easy as 1, 2, 3.

I usually take Excedrin migraine, but even that hasn't helped. By far the worst headache I've had in a long time, non-concussion related.

I still don't buy the "I have too much to do in 30 days that I can't take 30 minutes on a lunch break to take care of something I only have to do once every 2 years" excuse.

We obviously have no jobs, no families and pets to take care of, no weddings to go to, no vacations to go on..

So we wouldn't understand it because we're obviously people that sit at home all day, doing absolutely nothing with no responsibilities.

That's why we have time to get our cars inspected.
