What grinds my gears? Having a sewage drain backup at 10 o'clock at night...have a plumber here for about 30 min...and get billed 475.00.

I am in the wrong freaking industry.

Any type of housework it's always hard to find good quality for good price.

You either pay alot for good quality people, or don't pay much and get cheap quality.

Only times you can get good quality for good price, is if you end up knowing that person personally(cause they're a neighbor, friend, relative or something)

Costs about $160 here for the same after-hours service like that.

I always thought the rule was use "a" if the following word begins with a consonant sound and use "an" if the following word begins with a vowel sound.

Nothing about "an homework" looks or sounds correct and I'd be shocked if it was.

The only time you put "an" in front of a word that starts with H is when the H is silent. "A homework assignment" is correct.

One would call this, "an honest mistake."

I was half-joking. In the UK, it was customary to use "an" before any word that started with an "h," regardless of the sound of it. This transferred over to the US for a short while, then we ignored the rule and it has since been accepted to use it as it should be.

That's why I put "Yikes!" to be sarcastic. I don't think that really came across right.

When construction work gets done on part of a street during busy time of the day.

A sidewalk I was walking on was blocked off not too far down from where I was walking, so by time I got to that point,I had to find a way around it(and basically walk halfway on the road to walk around it).

I honestly don't know what they were thinking when they decided to do this. This is a busy street, people walking on it at all times of the day ,and they block off part of the sidewalk and make it so hard for people to walk around(cause cars are always driving on the road,so it's hard to walk on the road to get around that part of the sidewalk)

The even funnier thing....It's blocking a couple of stores(their only entrance), so those store owners must be extremely mad, nobody can even get to their stores(and the stores are still open too lol).
