There was a place in Akron called Euro Gyro that we always said with a j sound because it just sounded weird saying Euro Gyro correctly.Comment

When my doorbell rings, unexpectedly. Nothing good comes out of random doorbell rings. 9 times out of 10 its somebody I dont really want to see.
Today it was a man from across town with a similar address to mine asking if I received his online purchased bicycle in the mail by accident. I spent 20 minutes convincing him I didnt have it.I close the door hastily, I voted for Mitt Romney I swear!!

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
I had two mormons come up to me on campus one time. Problem there is you can't say you have something to do like you can at your house because they're walking with you in the sidewalk, lol.
I'm too nice to say "go away", and I was genuinely curious about a few things, mainly if what I know about mormonism (100% from South Park) was true, so I walked with them for a while.
They were cool guys, laughed and said they get the South Park questions a lot, and explained it to me.
I felt kinda bad though, because I walked them 6 blocks off campus. When I got to my apartment I told them I had to go and then gave them a fake name and phone number when they pressured me to put my name on some list, lol.University of Minnesota Golden Gopher Hockey

We always have old people passing out little bibles here on the corner by my office. No matter how many times you say no to them, they still try to give you one.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
I used to go to a mormon church to play basketball. And, man they go pretty hard. All of them are really nice, I mean really inviting, even though I didn't go to church, they didn't pressure it on me. They asked me one time if I wanted to come to a service, that was it.
Only thing that sucked was they had to leave at around 10, because they had to get back to their missionary work. What they did that late, I have no clue.
But, even with all the jokes, I usually give them the time of day. Now, some of the Jehovah's Witnesses have pissed me off.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Whenever ANY religious group knocks at my door, approaches me in public, etc. and tries talking to me about god/satan/buddha/elohim/whomever I just politely smile at them and say, "No thank you. I'm an atheist, but I hope you have a wonderful day!"
They drop the hard sell immediately 100% of the time.
Anyway, I agree about getting the random knock on my door thing. That infuriates the **** out of me. Even if I'm sitting right in my home theater (the room attached to my front door) and I get a random knock on the door, I usually don't even answer it. If it is someone that wants to see me that I actually know, it is common courtesy to call or text first. I don't show up to other people's houses unannounced and I expect the same from others. It's just rude.Comment

What grinds my gears? People who are super-religious like my grandma and mention the words "Jesus, God, Church, Mass, Christ, and pray in every friggin sentence annoy me and i'm Christian and saying this. It especially annoys me when they're really nasty outside of Church and they are hypocrites when they do that

Jpdavis trying to spin the Madden 25 story grinds my gears.......
1st it was just an early build......
2nd it was Sony's fault.....
Now it is the Game Changers only played the 360 version, that is why the invisible players weren't caught.....As though EA QA department don't play all versions of the game.Comment

Ehh I don't think he really crossed the line, he's basically saying people who just jam their self absorbed views on people. I ****ing can't stand that either, There's nothing worse then someone with an agenda trying to force it on you.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Its all disgusting. What works for you shouldn't concern anybody else and what works for them isn't gonna fit like a one size fits all cap for everyone else. Sadly nobody really thinks this way.

Yep, no political/racial/religion talk. If you want to say you hate people pushing their agenda then go ahead. Just don't get too specific.SOS Madden League (PS4) | League Archives
