Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Wow, that woman had a tough act to follow.
I'll excuse her for "marriage" because she was under pressure and already knew she bombed.
Her answers were pretty legit though. Restaurant. 4. Really surprised more than 4 people didn't say any of those."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

I think the comments on Facebook are my actual gear grinder. The guy got 4/5 number 1 answers and she copied 3 of them and had to get the 2nd on hard questjons. Not like she completely bombed.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
My favorite before Steve was Ray Combs. The show was dying going through Louie Anderson and the other guys (Richard Karn was horrendous), then Harvey took over and pretty much single handedly saved the show.
I like how he calls out the obnoxious people. The family yesterday that I was complaining about has this loud *** chick constantly screaming before and after every response, they need to turn her mic way down. They got up to the Fast Money part at the end and he basically said he doesn't want them to win because they've already shown they "don't know how to act".
Agree with Maj, too, it's horrible when the contestants turn it into a talent show. Drives me nuts when they do some choreographed intro and everyone starts clapping and singing. Just annoying as ****

You know what really grinds my gears?
When people talk about sports like an expert. Saying certain players are locker room cancers or this player will take a discount for the city because he loves it. Unless you are friends with the player or are in the locker room you don't know thisBuffalo Bills

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
New vernacular, that's especially popular among athletes.
Mainly the "word" THOT.
Actually, let me expand that. Athletes in general. It infuriates me that nearly every single athlete recently talks like an idiot and spells extremely ****ty. The worst offenders I've seen are DeSean Jackson, Mark Ingram, and Chris Johnson.Last edited by TripleCrown9; 05-09-2014, 01:30 AM.Boston Red Sox
