Re: What is your biggest pet peeve?
I love to do that when I'm passing someone on the interstate and someone flies up behind me. I'll be going 73 MPH in a 70 MPH zone passing someone in the fast lane. But apparently that isn't fast enough for some people who think the whole road belongs to them. One guy actually came up on me and flashed his lights a few months ago even though I was speeding my a couple MPH. For that, I decided to slow down into the upper 60s, LOL.Ding ding! We have a winner. I totally agree with this post.
I really don't care what other people on the road think, I'll drive at the speed I feel most comfortable at(usually 5 under the limit although people around here like to all drive 10 above the limit)
If you tailgate me, I'll drive slower just to piss you off. Not my fault if you want to ride my bumper, either back off or deal with it.Comment

Re: What is your biggest pet peeve?
The grinds my gears also. Plus, it reminds me of something else. People who drive around looking for a parking spot closest to the entrance. I mean, do that not understand that they're just wasting shopping time by circling the lot 3 or 4 times? Besides, they have to walk inside the store anyways. What's another 10-15 yards?
If I'm going to a store like Wal Mart and have a lot of groceries to get, I could give two ****s about parking near the store. I'm looking for a spot near the cart-rack so that I don't have to walk so far to put it away.
I hate smoker's as well. my hatred stems from growing up in the 80s. Where people (including lots of my family members) used to smoke inside all of the time.My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

Re: What is your biggest pet peeve?
I hate using cruise control. Even on 14 hour drives I won't use it. I think I'm pretty good at maintaining my speed though. I might flunctuate between a few mph but not anything big like 10 or 15.This is true, but it's still a pet peeve of mine. Also, differential of speeds is very dangerous. On a 70 MPH interstate highway, when one person is going 55 MPH and another person is going 85 MPH, that is a dangerous situation with 30 MPH separating the speeds of the two cars.
And since most people don't use their cruise control for some reason, people will be driving 60 MPH one minute then 75 MPH another minute, which drives me crazy.Ohio State - Reds - Bengals - Blackhawks - BullsComment

Re: What is your biggest pet peeve?
Not stupid at all. I always make sure to step out of the way of the counter so I can collect my belongings and pocket my change and receipt. I know how it feels to be the guy waiting for someone to move out of the way. This is going to sound stupid when I say it. And it probably is.
People who, after they're done checking out their crap, take an extra 30 seconds to shove all the money, receipts, and whatever else into their wallets before getting out of the way of the next person in line. Move over, shove the crap in your pocket, I don't care. Just let me check out.
Usually, when I'm waiting I just stare at the man or woman, no emotion, until they move. Everyone else know where I'm coming from, but unfortunately the person is never aware of how much of an idiot they are."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. Re: What is your biggest pet peeve?
Some people also don't have cruise control on their car.
And I always find that I'm less active as a driver when I'm just sitting there. That just worries me, so I don't like using it whenever I'm in a car that has it.
That being said: if someone can't sit at a consistent speed then you just need to learn how to drive better. I'm not talking about having to sit exactly at 70, but if you're going from 70 to 80 to 65 back to 70 and you never had to speed up or slow down then I think someone needs to find an empty parking lot."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. Re: What is your biggest pet peeve?
I don't hate smokers. I just hate when they don't respect that others don't like smoke. (There are smokers that are very respectful. Hard to find but many do exist).
But this goes for lots of people.
I don't hate that smelly guy on the train, either. I just hate that he didn't care enough to take a shower or freshen up before stepping into a congested train during rush hour."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. Re: What is your biggest pet peeve?
My roommate's favorite pasttime is sitting near a truck on a two-lane highway whenever someone acts up like this.
One time, the driver drove off road just to pass. Some people have no sense.
I also just realized I posted four straight times. Not my intention. I'll stop now."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. Some of my best friends/family members smoke. I've also dated girls that smoke and it's was pretty disgusting to say the least. Anyways, I just hate when they do it around me and even when they don't do it around me yet, I can still smell it. I'm sorry smoker's but, trying to disguise the smell of smoke with gum does nothing but, give you an aroma of spearmint and cigarettes. Just do us all a favor and quite already.

Re: What is your biggest pet peeve?
That is excactly why I don't use it. When I tried it I got bored fast because I was doing less which scared me because I don't want to fall asleep or make a mistake. I like having more control because it keeps me more focused. Some people also don't have cruise control on their car.

Re: What is your biggest pet peeve?
I think you're just saying it wrong.
Seriously, I never even knew this was a pet peeve. Had no idea Americans were pronouncing it wrong all these years."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. Re: What is your biggest pet peeve?
My guess is that it's TOR-onto, not TUR-onto.
That's how I would think we're mispronouncing it. If I had to guess.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn
