Yup. I can't stand it. Don't hit me up with absolutely no topic at all. At least bring up the weather or something. The best is when you meet their awkward silence with your own and then you get the "Are you ok?" Yes I'm ok, you're just socially failing right now...

Yeah I hate that. Or when I say what's up to someone or ask them what they are doing and they respond, nothing.



It hasn't happened recently because I rarely txt anymore.

That reminds me of my one word text peeve. The worst combination ive ever gotten is a girl texting me something, then following up with a one word response, awaiting for me to take the driver's seat in the convo. Really? Theres a reason why I didnt just hit you up. I have nothing to say right now.....

I hate when people use a phrase, but they don't even say it right thus proving that they probably don't even know what it means.

One of the most misconstrued phrases, "I couldn't care less." I usually see people saying "I could care less."
Don't know why that bothers me it just does.

Man that irks me too, but it seems like EVERYONE says "could" instead of "couldn't" like it's officially been accepted. It's bugged me for years but I sound like a dick if I ever bring it up.

Random one. When people say they could care less...why don't they understand the error in this?

You COULDN'T care less. That is the correct phrase.

I wasn't sure if you were adding on or if it was incredibly random to think of that right after someone else did lol.

When sports radio people say things like, "It's great to have a Super Bowl/World Series/NBA Finals with two traditional power houses, and not teams from (insert small market team here)."

A perfect example was the World Series this past year. I thought it was great when the Rangers and the Giants squared off, and not teams that I see on television ALL THE TIME.

Another one from a similar vein...

When my Bobcats play and beat a good team, but yet ESPN acts as if they don't exist, no highlights, no bottom line, nothing. Has happened so many times I have lost count.

Yeah that can be annoying.

Say he's got a great arm or great vision. Don't say he's got one of the best arms in the league or the best vision in the league.

Just a pet peeve of mine.

I don't mind talking about a list of the best {insert position}, but it drives me nuts about sweeping generalizations and having "one of the best in [insert whatever]" said multiple times during a broadcast.

I how people think the heart is located on the left side of the chest. It is in the middle, protected by the sternum. It branches out more left than right, but is located directly in the middle of the chest.

Somewhat related to this, it annoys me how many players are labeled during telecasts as "1st rounders". Only so many guys can actually be picked in the 1st round and I've heard like 100 guys this year that are "sure 1st rounders".

When it snows, people who's idea of "cleaning the sidewalk" is to make a path exactly 1 shovel wide. Not so much a problem if there's just an inch or so of snow, but when you get significant accumulations that is barely wide enough for one person to walk through. When I still lived at home with my mom, I would always clear the entire width of the sidewal when it snowed.

I do the full width in front of my house, but there is a vacant lot next to me with no one to shovel it. So I do the 1 long push of the shovel method to connect my section of sidewalk to the apartments section on the other side of the lot.

Regarding the Text peeve, here's another one:

Me: *sitting down watching TV/on the computer*

**phone vibrates because of incoming text message**

GF: Hey
Me: Hey what's up
GF: Wat u doin?
Me: Watching the game...
GF: Ooooohhh
Me: Yup
GF: Sooooo.....

The last part of that is key because like King said, they automatically expect us to continue the conversation and my GF already knows that when the Packers are player, unless it is a Life/Death situation from 1:00PM to 7:20PM on Sundays, do not hit me up and expect an instant response because that won't happen. Playoffs, I've been less lenient because I've limited it to only when the Pack plays but during their games, LEAVE ME THE **** ALONE.

(Don't get me wrong, this doesn't happen ALL the time. At worst it happens like once every few weeks, if that, where I get texts like that.)

When you go to the store and the idiot gives you a small bag even though it's completely obvious that what you bought needs a larger bag or that it should be double bagged. And of course the second you step outside the damn bag rips in half.

On a similar note, when you're at the grocery store and the person bagging the stuff puts just one thing in a bag then gets a new bag. I can see if it was something heavy, but why would you put something small and/or light in a bag all by itself. It's wasteful.

Yeah I hate when they load up one bag but then put 1 or 2 items in another bag.

But I can understand if they put something like soap in a bag by itself. Baggers aren't suppose to put food and non-food items in the same bag.
