At least officers are trained to drive in high speed situations

Don't post articles about officers crashing into people, it happens. Bad apples in every bunch
No, i want them to turn on their lights or siren to signal there's an emergency. Officers may be trained to drive at high speeds, but these horrible drivers out here are not. Every cop takes advantage of being a cop.

Policy says we can't turn on lights/siren to go to the call I described.

So if your house is in the above scenario, you want me to drive exactly the speed limit?

I'm not saying go 100mph. I'm talking about driving reasonably but over the limit to get there to stop a crime in progress.

Would you rather me go 5 mph under the speed limit and obey all traffic laws? What if it's the difference between taking a report for your house being burglarized and taking down criminals in the act?

Obviously I don't condone breaking motor vehicle law unless it will help solve a crime and will be done safely and prudently to minimize any accidents

        If it's me...and let's say I'm in another profession...

The police better get to my house as fast as possible!!! I don't care if they break minor motor vehicle laws

So if a possible crime is being committed and you are en-route, you cannot use your lights in order to move traffic out of the way? Then that Policy = Stupid, imo.

We can for most crimes in the process of being committed. The problem with that is that we have to wait for the crime to be committed.

Oh and to add to the fun: it grinds my gears that if I get behind a stolen car and it takes off...I can't even pursue it! (Unless it's involved in a robbery or car jacking or any crime dangerous to life)

So let's say I roll up to buckeyes house after going 25mph. I see a guy carrying a flatscreen HD TV to a car and I observe the back door kicked in. That guy gets in the car and takes off...

            I can't chase!

I ranted about that one night in OT, the worst is when they come up with some handshake on the spot, or use something they do with their boys, and expect you to somehow know what to do.

Playing Words with Friends, or any of the other Scrabble games for phones, against someone who is obviously using a word generator. The last game I played, some of the words that my opponent used were:

                      Piaffe
                      Llanos
                      Dixits
                      Zori
                      Wytes

I'm not being a sore loser (I won the game 339-214), but what's the point of playing if you are just going to cheat?

I hate when people take their time going on arrows. Nearly every day on my way to school, at this one particular intersection it has taken 3 times before for 6-7 cars to get through the intersection. 3 green arrows for 6-7 cars! You should be able to get all 6-7 in one green arrow!

Too much sleep to go back to sleep, too little sleep to actually feel like staying awake, and knowing that sometime after lunch the brick wall is going to strike.

I LOVE when this happens. I feel a ton more rested when my body wakes up on it's own rather then having the alarm wake me up three minutes later out of some deeper sleep.
