I am the same way. My truck is used, but I have only put it through an automatic wash once. I then bought some Meguiar products and do it by hand.

Has nothing to do with that. I work nights so I'd be screwed regardless.

Speaking of which, here's another one to add: working nights.

You get paid more money working nights......So how can that be a gear grinder ? But then again a lot of my friends and family members always worked nights, so I guess to me that is normal.

If a job paid well enough, I wouldn't mind working the owl shift (11-7). I have a few friends who work Owl shift, but make close to $27/hr.. and usually rack up some OT, as well.

Right now, I'm usually working one of these shifts..

          8:30am-4:30pm
          8:30am -8:30pm
          10:00am - 6:00pm
          10:00am - 8:30pm

It's really not as bad as it sounds, though.. I like the money.

It's just an extra dollar, lol.

And it's a "gear grinder" because it pretty much completely flips your days around. Sure, it has it's benefits, but it sucks when you can't really hang out with your friends as much because you're up when everyone is sleeping but sleeping when everyone is up.

People who throw away perfectly good food. I live with my brother and sister-in-law. We made quesadillas last night and she decided to throw away 4 perfectly good ones that didn't get eaten when she knows damn well one of us would have had them.

I was starting to leave my seat Tuesday night at Busch Stadium and I saw a Coke bottle that was full to the top of the label, just lying there under the bleachers.

I was tempted to take it home with me, but you never know who was drinking from it.

I have a lot of relatives who refuse to eat left overs. So needless to say a ton of food gets thrown in the trash. If it was cooked yesterday or even bought yesterday from a restaurant, they won't eat it the next day, they will throw it in the trash.

I'm the same way and I know it costs me a lot of money. I rarely eat leftovers. I will eat pizza the next day and a few other things but that's about it. If anything was cooked at home I will not eat it, so no Thanksgiving leftovers for me.

I've always been like this and it drives my wife nuts.

Mowing the lawn, I just have no ambition to ever do it, and neighborhood kids want $30 to do it, just annoying.

What are they going to do? Strongarm you? Miss class for small claims court? Hire an attorney?
