Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
When you hit it off with a girl and she says she'll call but doesn't. Then you think she isn't into you, but the next day she's so damn nervous she loses her breath when she sees you.

A few things that have been grinding my gears lately on the internet.
1. The word thug being thrown around when discussing the NBA.
2. People who think they have to say the F word every 5 minutes while tweeting about a sporting event. This doesn't make you a passionate sports fan.
3. The term troll.
4. When people overuse the term douche. Not everyone you don't like is a douche.Comment

More driving gripes..
People who lock up the brakes any time they see a cop. If you see him, chances are he's all ready saw you.. don't lock up the brakes and make it obvious.
If I'm on the interstate and I run up on a cop and he's not doing the speed limit, I have no problem at all passing him.. that's his problem, not mine..Comment

Yellow light of death on my PS3. I don't remember ever having issues with my NES, SNES, N64 ... those things still work to this day. Whatever happened to the days of consoles just working beyond a few years?Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
People who speed up and slow down. I typically don't have a problem with you if you're driving the speed limit, even if it's obscenely low for certain roads. But when you go 45 MPH, then drop down to 35 MPH, then to 40 MPH, then down to 30 MPH... it pisses me the hell off.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Oh, a thread where I can vent my 'bitch list'? Awesome!
--At the grocery store, the person in line in front of you with a full cart wants to argue the prices of several items to the checker, use a bunch of coupons that the checker has to sift thru and explain why they won't apply to the customer, then that person asks for a pack of smokes which someone else has to go get from the locked smokes area three registers over...THEN that person gets their total, and takes out a checkbook and writes the slowest check ever and THEN takes five minutes to secure her purse before finally leaving.
--Asking my kids to do something, they say "Okay, I'll do it in a few minutes" and it never gets done.
--People who don't know how to use turn signals.
--Teens who are addicted to their cel phones and as a result, never look up at real life passing them by.
--Social networking (Facebook, myspace, twitter, etc) Seriously...what good comes from them? Just call up your friends, write an email (what we used to call 'a letter') or go VISIT them. Social networking isn't worth the drama and the suicides, and nobody cares about every damn detail of your day.
--Texting. Hate it. In fact, if I weren't married, I think I'd just chuck my cell phone over a cliff and just live with a damn land line and answering machine at home like I did in the early 90's. Life was calmer and quieter that way.
--People not being real on message boards/blogs/comment sections on articles on the 'net. The internet makes seemingly most of the internet-using people on Earth seem like immature, racist, uneducated, undersexed asshats. Thank goodness OS is well-run enough to be pretty much a haven from the internet anonymity affliction.
--People with no integrity or honor.
--People who demand respect but do nothing to earn it.Last edited by Lieutenant Dan; 05-15-2012, 01:58 PM.GO 'HAWKS!
