There's a security camera in the gym, so they can figure out who did it if they really want to. With that said, it's the kids of (or friends of the kids of) a shareholder, so you know how that goes. Hopefully, we get a new goal soon before the holiday weight starts stacking up.

When people say they have "performed tests". Then only post their findings and not the methods they went about to getting the results. How am I supposed to trust the results then?

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Ending of Christmas season. Look forward to it starting around September-October, and get into Christmas spirit in November, then December is full planning/getting ready for Christmas. But once December 27(since 26 here is holiday too) hits, gets depressing abit. 2+ months of snowy/cold weather, early sunsets, no real holiday in-between. Sure there's new year's, but I don't celebrate it so much. Used to be special, until I got to age where staying up past midnight was a normal thing, so new year's is just another late night, but with fireworks.
That transition from holiday mode back to reality is always tough for me. Once I get settled back in it's fine, but first little bit sucks. Christmas more than any since I look forward to it longer, have less to look forward to once it's done, and can enjoy time off with others compared to something like vacation in summer where after it ends, it's still nice outside, lots of exciting things still can happen, and not everyone is off at same time,so things can be spread out more.Last edited by Majingir; 12-27-2016, 01:06 AM.Comment

Now? Yeah. I haven't even celebrated NYE the last couple years either because I had to be up for work early the next morning and thus was already in bed long before midnight, or I had been working early all week and was tired and fell asleep long before midnight. That, and while my family goes all out for Christmas, we don't do **** for NYE, so even if I am awake at midnight, I'm either just watching TV or playing a game.
After NYE, what is there? Valentine's Day? Yeah, couldn't care less, I'm single, and even if I wasn't single, I still couldn't care less. St. Patrick's Day? I already drink a LOT of beer, nothing different there just because it's a holiday and everything is made green. Easter? Eh, the cheap Easter candy in stores nice but nothing I care about in relation to the actual holiday.
After that, I only look forward to Memorial Day and the 4th of July because it means some damn good grilling, beer and most importantly, days off work, I suppose same for Labor Day. Halloween is alright, it's cool seeing our neighbor put a bunch of decorations and stuff in his yard and on his house, but ultimately I do nothing in relation to celebrating the holiday.
Basically the only time of year I really truly look forward to things is from about a week before Thanksgiving (when I start looking forward to the food) to the day after Christmas. After that, the lights go down, the house goes back to the same boring house layout of the other 11 months of the year, it's just cold and crappy weather for another 2 or 3 months. It's dark when I go to work and it's dark when I leave work, so I get to enjoy so little actual daylight that it's easy to see and experience why depression has such a big effect in people this time of year.
Oh, and where as I had a four day weekend for Thanksgiving, and four day weekends for Christmas and New Years this year (as we were given Friday before and Monday after off since the days and the eves fell on the weekend), basically I don't get **** for holidays and days off from work until maybe Easter, otherwise not until Memorial Day weekend, so it's back to the full work week sludge through hell with zero breaks for the next 4-5 months.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Yep, this has always been a big depression time of year for me. For me, the whole child like feeling of waiting for Christmas, getting to have the lights up around the house, the change of the layout of the house to make room for the tree, spending half the day Christmas day with the family opening gifts, and just having something to look forward to.

And of course, once this time of year is over, everyone goes back to their regular selves, which isn't always a good thing since most people are better with holiday spirit in them.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Exactly. Other holidays are nice, but it's mostly just 1 day off extra and that's it. Not exactly a big time for celebrations or planning/doing anything special a week or so before. Even Thanksgiving for me, nothing big either. Christmas is one time of year everyone tries their best to find a day that most if not everyone possible can do something special together.
And of course, once this time of year is over, everyone goes back to their regular selves, which isn't always a good thing since most people are better with holiday spirit in them.
Then it all goes away after Christmas is over. People will still generally hold open the door here where I live, they'll say thanks, welcome, how's it going in passing, etc, but the amount of people who act assholish to everyone else really increases. People get rude again, they go back to wanting to get indignant over everything, you start seeing more birds flying and people become selfish again.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
When people ask if something that costs a small amount is worth it.
To me, if you want it and it won't hurt you, you buy it. But some people are very prudent with their money, in small amounts. Like during the Steam Sale, Batman Arkham Knight goes on sale and people ask if it's worth it... I'm like dude it's $7. I don't know how to respond. That's a meal from McDonald's. I just think some people are so cheap that they use their own cheapness as an excuse for almost anything, especially in games. People complain that developers are "lazy" or "aren't doing enough" for the gaming community and then turn around and say they won't buy a $20 indie game for more than $10. It's like nothing has value, it can always be gotten cheaper.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

I think it's a good sign so far to watch the Packer game at home tonight if they are running infomercials.Comment

Not sure how to tell if your local affiliate is owned by Hearst or not but that's the trigger.
Here's the story:
I was in bed at midnight but apparently they pulled the channels right after midnight so people who were watching the new year's festivities were cut off.Comment

I still get the guide for the channels and infomercials are what's scheduled right now on NBC so you should be good for tonight.

Nice. A Place I can finally vent about this...
People using the word "literally" unnecessarily. Unless whatever you are saying could have a figurative meaning, DON'T say literally. Please. Stop it. This word is everywhere now. Drives me mad.Comment
