    Sort of related...

People being shocked of comebacks. If one team has a 17-4 run, why can't the other team do the exact same thing?

I know my gear-grinder is a bit of an "on paper" argument, because realistically in basketball you shoot more recklessly and along the perimeter, in football you'll pass more and go for it on fourth, in baseball you'll play for more runs and pitch for more outs (less bunting, throw more strikes), and in hockey you might pull your goalie or shoot along the blue line. Things like this change everything, but in times of desperation we also often succeed, especially when the opposition rests on their laurels.

I just don't know how a pretty even match-up can't credit the team that pulls away first as much as it discredits them for "tanking" and letting the opposition come back.

      No you're right.

When playing baseball and the opposing team puts up five runs an inning and half the team has given up, I usually pick up the waist of my pants, get down on one knee, and remind my team that if they can, we can, as I lead a roaring charge out of the dugout.

At least that's how I want it to happen.

I just want these freaking consoles to come out. One, because I'm really excited to get my PS4, but two I want all the back and forth rumors to go away. I'm so over it.

          They won't go away.

The arguments will just shift topics.

It's not so much the arguments, but the rumors. Guys like you, Tim, and Trapper make arguments bearable. It's the new rumor that pops up everyday, even those that have a leg or two to stand on, and the subsequent freak out.

When a woman you've been dating for 15 months and you nearly have the money saved up for an engagement rings comes out of left field and says "I love you, but I don't want to be with you."

Hmm....just a month prior you were discussing our dream wedding....but whatever. LOL

Still a little numb about it. But hey....it's her loss. As far as I'm concerned, I did nothing wrong. I think she got overwhelmed by the fact that she is almost a year removed from college graduation and is still living with her parents because she can't find a job. She admitted the distance was getting to her (I live almost two hours away now, as opposed to just minutes when we were both still in college).

Do I still love her? Absolutely, and I'd take her back if she called/texted me right now and apologized. But the longer she waits...the more likely I am to move on.

Minor consolation but at least she did it before you got the ring, now you have enough saved up for Next Gen!

(I'm not good with words of consolation)

True...I don't think it'll be quite as bad as now though. We'll at least know all the facts.

I'll be happy when they're out so we can move on from the "which launch console should I get" debate and onto the "which is better" debate. That one usually quiets down more, but the launch keeps getting interesting with last minute info.

I liked your post, but it's not so bad. I've been browsing OS and listen to music the whole time while being payed to do so. I can deal with doing this for the next 42 minutes.
