Heh, don't really use any apps to check the news on my phone. But on a somewhat similar note, the twitter account for one of my local news stations has the annoying habit of tweeting about news stories, but the included link is just a link to their FB page so you have to click that link then click another link on the FB page to get to the actual news story.

A local brewery I follow does something similar to me. They tweet a Facebook link and twitter shows the first 20 words or so and then the fb link but clicking the link always comes back as an invalid fb post. I don't Facebook and I assume they must have an age restriction on their posts that blocks me from reading it with out logging in.

When you check the Gamestop website to see if your local Gamestop has a certain game and they do. You go to that Gamestop only to find out they don't have it. But they did have the box for it.

Just asked about sound cards in the PC thread a couple days ago...

Well, the PC gods heard me and now my onboard sound is clicking and clipping from the left side now and then. Top that off with no room for a sound card in the case(thick wire plus too big video card) and I'm stuck with HDMI sound. Which in itself isn't too bad as I'm using TV speakers, but the case fans require high music volume

I like Bastille too and I don't find OneRepublic that bad either.

The biggest difference between the two is their acoustic stuff though. I've heard both of them (actually 2 of Bastille's songs 1 on Coffee House and the other was an a Alt Nation Exclusive) and Bastille sounds great live, whereas OneRepublic sounded pretty terrible.

Anyway, on topic - Cell Phone Carriers grind my gears.

Apparently, Verizon has done away with their unlimited data plans, so if I want to keep mine I have to pay full price for a new phone. Currently, my wife and I are only using on average of around 200 minutes and 50 text messages a month and 4-5+ GB of Data. Therefore, the unlimited calling plan's with capped data is pretty worthless to me. No I'm forced to either switching to one of those plans and playing more a month, plus having to watch my data usage; or pay for a ridiculously over priced phone

I'm a Verizon customer. I average about 6 GB of Data per month. Keep an eye on your data usage. Verizon claimed I used 16 GB of Data in January, despite my not changing my usage at all. I spent three months contesting it as it led to a $300 phone bill and they still claimed there was nothing they could do to research any inaccuracies and that I'd be stuck with the bill. Needless to say, I preferred them when they did unlimited data.

                                Don't they grandfather in plans?

My voice plan with AT&T hasn't been offered in more than 10 years. And I got to keep my unlimited data plan when they first cut it, though I later switched it.
