Re: You know what really grinds my gears?

Things people say.....I was sitting next to someone today and he was talking to someone else and then I hear him going on about how "_____ is jokes". Yes,he said it like that. Annoying whenever I hear people talk like that. Being like "Yo...that guy is jokes man"

And those people who are like "Dun no"(not dunno like "i dunno",but "dun no"). So if something happens, they're like "dun no! seriously?!" or something like that.

And all those people who are like "Say word!" instead of saying "are you serious?" or "really?" or something like that.

lol,all those years of high school has taught me too much ghetto talk. Deezed is another word also used alot by people.

I feel I should at least elaborate on what I'm saying.

The reason why I feel the Mavericks have a horrible home crowd is because of the fact that if not for the PA guy in the arena occasionally getting on there and telling them when and what to cheer, (for example: DEE-FENSE and Let's Go Mavs) they would make no noise whatsoever and be almost completely silent.

I've been noticing this from them for a while, and they aren't the only ones. Atlanta is another place that is notorious for this and they're easily 10X worse than Dallas in this regard.

It isn't anything against their team either, which is pretty solid btw. Congrats on making the playoffs.

          Bank account maintenance fees.

Bank account maintenance fees that overdraw your account.

I've been recently considering dropping Bank of America for a local credit union. They have a savings account that will actually make me money, instead of the 0.01% interest crap that I'm getting through BofA, and their fee structure isn't near as bad.

Local CU's are really the way to go. People are starting to get food and other items locally - why not banking?

My local CU has free checking - which is a real rarity anymore, plus they pay interest on any money you have in the bank. Minimum balance is only $25.

Yeah, free checking is elusive these days. I don't know who offers it anymore around here.

Every time I look around for a new bank, they all seem not worth the hassle of switching. Still high minimum balance, still maintenance fee if you don't make X deposits, etc. Probably less then my current bank but I don't feel like switching over some of my bills to a new account.

I'll have to look into some of the local CU's. I know my dad's been with one for a while but it's super out of the way. That's another reason why I bank with who I do: they're everywhere, including right behind my apartment complex.

Do you do a lot of in-person banking?

I know a lot of CU's will typically forgive charges or give partial credit for ATM fees.

Honestly, though, just go and talk with them. That's the best option.

That's because half of the people who go to Mavericks games are their to be socially active, rather than be at a Mavs game. Prior to the Cowboys building their new Stadium, the Mavericks easily had the worst Home Crowd in DFW. Now it's a bit of a toss up with all of the fancy sushi-eating fans in the lower sections of Cowboy stadium.

And because everyone knows the game will end with an interception by Tony Romo.

Local banks are nice but depending where you live, you'll be wishing you had a major bank to withdraw money from on a regular basis.

We use a local credit union, but they have a deal with Capital One where we can use any of their ATM's for free. Although, I can count on one had the times that I've used an ATM in the past two-three years.

Bright colored text on OS forums posts. It's hard for me to decipher and read so I just skip right over them. Grinds my gears further that the color formating carries over to Tapatalk where I expect everything to be uniform.

I use Chase now (used to be Wells Fargo) because our CC and Mortgage are through there. Plus my wife had her account there so it was easy to add me on.
