Though that's the worst thing to tell someone in a situation if they give you something wrong on your food(the whole "just pick it out" line). It's happened to me before too. I ordered something, they put the wrong stuff on it, and were just like "Can't you just pick it off".....No! If I wanted what you gave me, I would've ordered it. Instead, you want me to pick off abunch of stuff from the food, ruin half of it,and still end up with less than I ordered, while paying the same price?
Not to mention, they blatantly ignored that order just to piss me off. I live out of town, so it wasn't worth it to go back and chew some ***.

Yea I don't think they blatantly ignored your order just to piss you off, that doesn't even make sense unless you go there regularly and cause a scene.

It's more than likely that it was just...McDonald's workers.

Pretty sure it was blatant. My receipt clearly said, "McDouble - No Pickle."

There was only one patty, no cheese, no other toppings except literally one pickle. Sometimes people just like to be dicks to strangers.

Eh, I understand what you are saying, but I don't necessarily agree. Many people travel around the world and stop at a McDonalds they've never been to before and some times people make mistakes. Heck, Friday, I went to McDonalds, ordered no ice for my soda and I looked at the receipt and it didn't say, no ice. That was partly my fault because when they say at the menu board, "Will that complete your order, I quickly scanned it and said yes. I explained what happened and they gave me a soda with no ice. If I live more than 15 minutes away, I'll call to speak the manager and tell them what happened and 100% of the time, they will give me a meal on the house either in the mail or in person. If it's in the mail, I'm able to go to the one closer to my house.

Stopped at the same one on Saturday and waited 15 minutes for our food in the drive through and didn't think it was that busy. I didn't say anything because we were in a hurry.

Yea I'm sorry but don't confuse screwing up an order with sabotage.

Heck, you can have your order screwed up at Capital Grill, it happens....

Eh, I could see it both ways, logic tells me they weren't sabotaging, that's conspiracy theorist territory, but if he said "no pickles" and got everything else off, with one solo pickle right in the center, that's a little fishy

Right? It's kind of like an FU to me for making them go out of their way on a burger.

I dunno. Either way, it'll be awhile before I eat there again anyway.

If the order were merely screwed up, there wouldn't have been just a single solitary pickle on it, there would have been multiple pickles as expected on a typical burger.

It looks like someone was being a toolbag in this instance. Not unlike a pizza place jackass that'll put a pile of onions under a pepperoni on a supreme that's supposed to have no onion.

Well fast food joint employees are going to be on the Low end of the Socio-Economic bracket. Going to be your low budget teenage kid fresh out of high school, or trying to make it through college who doesn't care about that job, or just frankly don't know any better. Then you have the Middle aged folks who acquired very little skilled workforce experience and are trying to handle debt, and or multiple kids. So they probably come into work under a lot of stress, little sleep, and might be working 2 jobs just to make it. Unless management in the locale is tip top perfect, they are bound to mess up orders it's just the nature of these positions.

I very highly doubt they screwed up your order with malicious intent, if like you said were just a casual by stander. Fast food places have screwed up my families orders over 100 times through out my experiences... My solution was to stop getting Fast food, you truly do get what you pay for.

That's something I always don't understand. How come whenever any food place ever messes up an order, it just happens to always be LESS they give someone? A local Italian place once gave us an extra Chicken Parm, and a Soda that we didn't pay for. Not too mention the rest of the order was right. I didn't complain.

Maybe the pickle was inadvertently put on the burger and they didn't notice the pickle on the burger?

My friend on Saturday asked for no onions on his burgers and there was a piece of onion on one of the burgers. Sabotage or mistake? He did take it off.

It probably was intentional. When I worked there in high school when people made special orders sometimes we would mess with them on purpose. I always had a headset on to hear drive through orders.

One time a guy asked for extra tartar sauce so he got 20 squeezes from the gun. A normal sandwich gets one.

                            I was a bit of a **** when I was 16.
