Do the douchebags who have started to use that "don't be that guy" nonsense realize that by constantly saying that, they are in fact being "that guy"?
It's this and people using "hottest of hot takes" (or something similar) in a mocking fashion that drive me up a wall lately.

Ex-gf randomly texting you after a few months of silence wanting attention (um...you blocked me on facebook for wishing you a happy birthday, why are you texting me?)
Trying to find a new job to replace your current BS job.Comment

Trees
Every time I go to Wal Mart or Best Buy, I'm approached by the Direct TV salesman. I've listened to the sales pitch before, signed up, and when they got to my house I was told I had too many trees around my house to get a good signal. Less cost is a big factor in why I'd like it but also they offer the BeIN Sport which airs all the World Superbike Races. Not available with my cable provider.Texas Rangers/Saints/LSU/Tottenham Hotspur

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
I don't like when people start telling a story and halfway through they ask me, "Then what happened?" As if the story is more entertaining by switching off who's telling it. Or, "then he said something really funny" Then look at you with anticipation. Probably one of my biggest gear grinders while socializingComment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
The first 2 or so hours at work. Not the job itself, just the people there I hate lol. It amazes me just how stupid some people can be. Outside of this job I'm a real nice/calm/easy going type of person, but at this job....so many things(specifically with the people there) drive me crazy. I'd say maybe a quarter of the people there drive me crazy, a quarter of them I like, and half I don't care about.
I also hate talking to "higher ups" at my work because 9/10 times they're asking me to stay late. I have no problem at all coming in early, I just don't want to stay late. Staying late means I'd have no idea when I'd be finishing and it messes up basically rest of day, going earlier, I'll at least know I'll be done my usual time and can get back to normal schedule once work day is done.
Really hoping I get the job I applied for recently though. Been applying for that type of job for quite some time and never got anything out of it, so hoping maybe this time things might be diff cause I'd love that job so much more.Last edited by Majingir; 07-10-2014, 11:50 PM.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
I am, it's just this specific job which is driving me crazy. I know I'm clearly not fit for this type of job(I'm honestly surprised I was even hired in first place, but they were DESPERATE to get more workers so they were basically forced to hire me lol), but it's all I could get at this time so I'm just tolerating it for now until I can get something better.
It's a nice wakeup call for me though. Adding lots of motivation for me to change certain things in terms of my future goals/plans and knowing exactly what types of work environments I like and don't like. Even before I started this job, I knew I wouldn't be doing this long term, but at least I'm doing it and learning exactly how much harder I'll need to try to really reach the level I want to reach career wise.Comment
