Not to say the boredom thing isn't a real thing but lately I'm the opposite. Never bored, always have things in mind to do (both for work/real life and also for recreation) yet there's never enough time in the day and thus I often go to bed frustrated that I just can't get everything done.

        Build something.

Go to Home Depot, pick up some lumber, and build an Adirondack chair (or whatever else).

I've done that a couple times. Just went on a bad steak of being bored all the time, and just picked something random to build. Breaks up the mundane every day life, gives you something to do, and you get a sense of accomplishment when it's done!

We're going to have the wedding. She's getting a good job in early 2016 after she gets her degree and at that point we are going to financially be in a great place. I have very high job security and her job is increasing in demand every year. We'll be fine but the next 1.5 years is going to be managing our funds. We're not taking on any debt in addition to school loans for her.

I definitely see the view of a wedding being a "waste". We are doing things in a way that we will be watching our wedding movie and looking at pictures every single year until we are old and gray. We are also limiting our invite list and keeping it moderately sized (75-100 people). To some it's not important and to others it is extremely important.

You know what really grinds my gears?

I barely have time to game on the one console I do have.

If I had both, I would feel an obligation to play them. I never want to feel like that about gaming.

This. If I had a PS4 it'd sit around gathering dust 95% of the time. I got a 2nd Xbox One because we love the TV and Kinect stuff (we have a almost 6 month old kid). Plus now I can play Xbox One games in the bedroom or on the main TV. Just didn't make sense to diversify, plus we'd lose the tv features we love.

I've long since learned that I can deal with missing out on a few exclusive games (Uncharted, etc).

I do think this is shaping up to be the generation of the exclusive and it's going to be nearly necessary to have both to get to play as many of the great games as you're going to want to.

I was a PS3 guy last generation. I'm not sure I can get away with that this one, I might have to get both to experience everything I want to experience. ****, I've already missed Forza, Dead Rising, and Titanfall because I only have a PS4 at the moment.

So, I think it makes sense if you can afford it. Whether or not that makes you a real gamer or whatever is a stupid argument. As long as you play video games on something and even kind of care about them, I consider you a real gamer.

There's nothing wrong with owning multiple consoles. But there's nothing wrong with owning just one either.

I can afford both a PS4 and XB1, but I don't want to invest the money - and time - into having two systems. Having just a PS4 works for me. I miss out on some great games, such as Forza and possibly the Tomb Raider sequel, but I can live with that.

Last gen I preferred the 360, but the PS exclusives were some of my favorite games. Other than playing games like Uncharted, Heavy Rain, The Last of Us and The Show (for about a month every year) my PS would collect dust for months and months at a time.

This gen I want to just be a one console owner. However, with the exclusive deals like EA Access and Tomb Raider, I'm starting to feel the need to get a XB1. If I could just play 360 games on it, then it would be an easy decision. Also, it would be a plus, if they made a wireless Kinect because I want to keep it in my living room where I watch the most TV, but I don't want wires showing. If one of those two things happen, then I'll probably be on Amazon ordering one as fast as I could.

There's just not enough of a difference between the two for me to own both. Sure, some exclusives would be nice, but I can live without them. The PS4 is gonna have FIFA, and most every big third party game. Not to mention, Sony puts out some solid first party games that only PS4 owners get. I justified buying a Wii U because, one, I sold my PS3 which hadn't been used, and got the Wii U for very little out of pocket. Two, it's a completely different console. I'm not gonna play Mario Kart, Zelda, Smash Bros., anywhere else.

As an Xbox 360 owner I felt I missed out on Sony exclusives that were simply more appealing and varied to me than Halo, Gears of War, and...I'm drawing a blank. Of course I loved playing the ME trilogy first and Forza is always a favorite of mine, but the reason why I switched this gen is because I didn't want to miss out on the larger library that appeals to me more.

I can afford the One, but since I have no interest in the multimedia aspects I can't justify the purchase. The WiiU is a different story since its exclusive library is unique.
