Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
I actually like to see what types of homes others build...
A few things I want to add and get off my chest:
- Drivers. When YOU make a mistake and miss that left turn don't stop in the middle lane and hold up 20 other cars so you can run the red light to turn left after oncoming traffic stops. Why don't you go straight and turn around? You know since you messed up and made the mistake...
- People who "know the owner" of whatever place they're talking about. Security wants a guy gone and he's all like "but I know the owner" and "the owner will let me in". Then when I escort him away he insults me over and over while I'm being super polite to him.

I'm getting annoyed by the marketing Titles such as:
She gave her toddler a pit bull, you wouldn't believe what happens next! (#5 had me in tears!).
Seriously...they are everywhere, all over facebook posts that people are sharing. Please stop - I'm not even clicking anyways, out of spite...lolComment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
My local Sprint store.
So my iPhone 6 Plus just stopped getting cell reception one day. It constantly says it's searching for signal. A couple of times something popped up telling me I needed to activate it.
Not knowing what the **** was going on with it, I took it to the Sprint store I got it from. They looked at it for like 5 minutes, hit a few buttons, and informed me I had to come back tomorrow because their tech guy wasn't in today.
Not willing to accept them basically telling me to **** off and come back tomorrow, I went to Best Buy and asked their mobile person. She was nice enough to sit on the phone with Sprint tech support for an hour, trying every single thing they told her. Even after they hung up on her twice on accident. She was a ******* saint. If it wasn't weird to tip mobile phone salespeople I'd have given her a 20 just for the effort. Also I'm cheap so no I wouldn't have. But I wanted to.
Eventually we get to a point where tech support says my phone is busted and they're putting a note on my account that I need a new one. But I need to go to the Sprint store I bought my original from to get it. So I speed over there aaaaaaand they're closed. It was literally 6:01.
So I go back today and tell them all of this and expect that they'll probably just go grab me a new phone. Nope. They need to take mine first and have their tech look it over for awhile. So I give it to them. Guess what? It's broken and I need a new one. Good thing we wasted that time.
So they're finally giving me a replacement. Buuuuuuut it won't be here for 2 to 3 business days. I don't really buy that they didn't have a spare in the store, but whatever. So, I'm getting pretty obviously pissed and I just look at the guy and say "So I'm going to be going on a full week without a working telephone?" and he just says "I guess."
I wish I had bought my phone initially from that Best Buy. They help people. This Sprint store is just filled with bros who don't seem to give a **** about me or my problems.Last edited by Bellsprout; 01-27-2015, 02:11 AM.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

That's a bit. I actually give customers there literally anything they ask me for.
Is that ringing up 5 dollars more than it should be? Yeah. I'll change it. No we don't have to have someone check.
You were supposed to get a 10 dollar gift card with that? Here. Take it.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
But if you walked up to me with, like, a sweater or something and told me it was sitting on the 50% off rack when you found it, there's a good chance I'm going to give you that price without bothering to check.
Also, at least at ours, we're instructed to just give out 5 dollar gift cards if the guest says they're supposed to come with something and we didn't get a prompt for it. No questions asked.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
So we're into the third week of the semester here, and haven't had a full week yet, (went back on a Tuesday and last Monday was MLK) so they have cancelled all biology labs for the class both weeks. I get in there today and the professor says "et cetera, et cetera" after nearly every sentence..
I don't know if it was just because it was 8 in the morning, but man, that **** was so annoying. I've had so many professors here at Indiana State that lack all communication skills. Sometimes it's comical, but today it was just too much.Comment
