Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
People's autocorrect on their phones
But my thing looms larger than this, it's more about people not looking at what was sent or having a forgetful memory of it. Brace yourselves, because this is going to be one of those "tell me how you really feel" items.
I have a flip phone and obviously don't have this problem, but it seems this oversight is a little problematic since they apparently can't review what they just typed before hitting send.
Sometimes you send something and it's quick, then you catch your mistake and have to write in the correct word with an asterisk. I completely get it. Though when they don't do it and that whole Smartphone feature where you can see your entire conversation history on one screen is kind of something that your peripheral vision should catch, then please address the mistake.
There are funny times like when I'm texting my colleague and she says, "I'll be upstairs in a decade." I'm guessing you might realize the word "decade" should be replaced with "second."
Then there are times where my sister texts and asks: "What should Vinny and I do for fun tomorrow?" since they were in town, and I went on to text about twenty different things with reasons why they should go. Three hours later, she says, "Sorry lol I meant din not fun." I just had to shake my damn head.
I have way too many moments to think of that are just weird like that, but these two are within the past week.Last edited by Blzer; 08-03-2016, 01:51 AM.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Chrome and Edge is all I use. Haven't used FireFox in probably 8 or 9 years.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Chrome is much faster than Firefox.
Which brings me to a gear grinder about Chrome which is that I can no longer view PDFs in a Chrome browser using Windows 10.
Another gear grinder = Windows 10. What the hell is this about? 90% of the apps and functions are strictly for tablets and phones. Don't need all this on my laptop.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
I use Chrome at work and it's been flawless, but on my home PC it's given me trouble. I switched to Firefox for home, which I used for years in the past, which has given me some problems too. Particularly Flickr photo streams just will not load.
Annoying.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

My file explorer (search feature) in Windows 10 doesn't work as well as it did in Windows 7. Also strangely using this feature won't show me hits from my second internal HDD when it comes to using the s, though it will if I plug in an external HDD.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Yeah, I love Chrome. Edge on the other hand, I find it to be slow and clunky both in performance and in appearance. The only time I ever use it is to test and see if a website that isn't functioning properly on Chrome is also not functioning properly on other browsers.Steelers : IX, X, XIII, XIV, XL, XLIII

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
My main issue, and I've probably just been too lazy to find a good extension, is not being able to automatically search your history in the top bar. If I visit a site frequently it pops right up, but if I am trying to find something random like a recipe that I know the URL contained a certain word it won't come up.
I probably just need to find a way to disable the automatic Google completion or whatever you want to call it.
-------
The other thing is Chrome's "find in page" feature. If you open a new tab or go to a new window it won't automatically search again. You have to delete or add a letter. While even old version of IE would allow you to just hit "next" and get the first hit again.Last edited by SuperBowlNachos; 08-05-2016, 10:24 AM.Comment
