Re: You know what really grinds my gears?

I used to do that when I played in a weekly league. I'd throw saves out the window and just rotate through starters who had favorable matches that week. Likely hands me W and K, and if it worked out, WHIP and ERA too. Not my fault the league had no restrictions.

I quit playing because I thought leagues like that should have been based on rate stats to prevent cheesing. Going through 20 pitchers won't help you as much if their total stats aren't used. Never could find enough people interested and now I'm too busy to ever put time into it. I'd do sportsbetting before I'd do fantasy sports now.

I'll one up you on a bad fantasy league experience. Was in a fantasy football league and fantasy baseball league with my dorm mates my freshman year of college. So going into MNF against one kid up by like 25+. And the kid only has Peyton left to play. He goes out and gets like 30 or so points. Go figure. The kid I'm playing comes running down the hall and screams that he beat me that week. Also this same kid was the commissioner of our baseball league that same year. I'm going to set my lineup for the day during the summer. And I see that I have 0 players in my lineup. And I then see that all the guys were on my bench. The kid traded every top player to his team in order to win the league. And I think he ended up losing in the first round of the playoffs.

      And a gear grinder:
Also this kid was kind of an *** to me throughout the whole year. And then the next year we had a class together and we talked a little because of some of the assignments in the class but not much. Then about 6 months or so later I randomly get a Facebook message from the kid apologizing for all the **** he did freshman year. Like seriously dude have some balls and apologize to my face, you had 4 months to do it.

Offering somebody an employment opportunity. Interview at 5pm today it is now going on 6:30 and they have not arrived. No call, no text, nothing. Offer was made for an acquaintance as a favor. Oh well. They burned that bridge down.

It never ceases to amaze me how inconsiderate people are when it comes to job interviews. I've been part of condicting interviews for various positions where I work and each time at least one person doesn't show without any notice.

Sore throats, or really any kind of sickness, but specifically at the moment, sore throat.

Everytime you drink or eat anything, just gets so annoying. Even just swallowing spit, you can feel the annoyance/pain.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?

"Gear-grinder" might not be the proper term here, but I hate leaving a one-toilet public restroom when somebody waiting outside comes in as they see me leave, and it stinks them out... especially when I wasn't the one who did it!

I just end up thinking, "Oh man, that guy will just think of me as a stinker," whether or not I was the one who committed the foul act. When it's a stranger at a Jack-in-the-Box, it's probably not too bad; but when it's at your workplace, I mean... they know you!

I know it's only natural anyway, but I'd rather not leave an impression like that if I can handle it.

I'll tell you what really grinds my gears: soggy sandwiches. Is this some new fad to get your $12 sub shop sandwich doused in so much oil and vinegar that is literally dripping all over the place?

The thing is, I actually like the taste of oil and vinegar. So I tell the guy "just a little bit" and he proceeds to soak my sandwich with a garden hose. Like it's either full bread seepage or none at all, there is no in-between.

Websites that play videos automatically or have fallen in love with annoying repetitive gifs that they believe are somehow enhance their story. They're not.

Addition to that, the nighttime is horrible too. You're so tired you want to fall asleep, but the soreness keeps you up. Those nighttime medicines don't put me to sleep. Apparently I accidentally took a nighttime one during the day, and obviously I never noticed, cause I was never tired during the day.

Only thing I've ever had was children's liquid Benadryl, and it stays in my system for well over 12 hours. Keeps me conked for quite some time.

I don't feel tired from the medicine, but second I look in mirror, looks like I hadn't slept in days lol

The thing that bugs me about sleep aids is I can feel them working physically, but my mind is still active. It's rough when you feel the effects but can't shut down all the way
