All this snow......we already have over a foot of snow and it is still snowing. On top of that a 3rd nor'easter is coming Monday. This will be 3 weeks in a row with a nor'easter.Comment

That I lose or break in-ear headphones like nobody's business.
I swear, I have probably gone through maybe six of them in the past three or four years. And I'm not talking those stupid $6 white Apple ear buds, I mean ones that range from $20-$60, even with their own little casings and such. Each and every time, somehow they fall to the wayside and there I am getting another pair, stupidly not finding a way to make sure I don't have to make another big investment on them again.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
I keep mine in fairly good condition, but no matter what, seems like the exact same problem will always happen to it(the cord near the jack eventually just gets completely damaged from being bent so many times while being connected)
That's something I hate too. Especially since most of the times, I find they look better with little to none at all, but that won't stop people from going crazy with it every single time they go out anywhere.
Even celebrities I find this true too. On TV shows they have much more natural type look, many times just the typical 'tv makeup' and that's it. But then any kind of interview or award show or any kind of other appearance, it's like a different person with triple the makeup.Comment

Nothing like someone firing up a chainsaw at 730am on a Monday morning.
Feel like they should wait until 9am. Seems kinda disrespectful so early.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers

Oh, I definitely get that it’s probably a business that has a bunch of jobs to get to during the day. I like to get things done early in the day too. But it can’t wait until 9am?
It’s like the inverse of noise from parties at night past 9-10pm. That’s not acceptable, but getting your loud *** power tools out early in the morning is? Doesn’t make sense to me. Common courtesy for the neighborhood.

There's noise laws where they can't actually begin work until a certain time, and they obviously know it too. For example, if 7am is the time they can make noise, they'll come here at 6:30 with their big/loud vehicles, camp out until 6 : 59 : 59, and the second the clock hits 7, they'll fire up everything.
And parties are annoying too. Don't care if people are having parties, but at least be courteous of the rest of your neighborhood. Screaming and talking so loud and having music playing so loud that a house 10+ houses down the block can hear all of this in middle of the night is not ok. It's same house on my block all the time too, don't know how nobody has ever filed a noise complaint before.
All of these are why I don't mind people with kids making noise outside. Kids at least you know/expect to be noisy and it's fine, but adults acting like they're the only people within earshot of anything that's happening regardless if it's 7am on a weekend or 2am in middle of the weak is sad.Comment

Its pretty common practice for landscape/construction companies. Once the sun comes out it’s game on for those guys.
I doubt for most companies they can wait until 9am especially the bigger ones, there’s just too much work. A lot of them are likely already working OT hours even when starting at 7/7:30.
