Re: You know what really grinds my gears?

On that note, I'm amazed at how contributional online members are in places like Yahoo Answers and such. When I used to code, I would get my questions answered there all of the time. I love that there is a community that bothers to take the time to help others.

There is an online website called Slader where textbook answers can be provided for students and tutoring can even be offered (not for real pay). As much as I don't want students to copy off of anything there, I still use it as a reference for them if they are stuck along the way with something. I don't like when an answer isn't quite correct, though...

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?

Some people really need to "know your role and shut your mouth". I honestly thought it was a full moon today the way certain people were acting. Just a bunch of complaining and feeling the need to comment on every little thing, acting like it's ok to just run your mouth towards anyone not a friend of yours.

One person in particular I know (not friend or anything, just a peer/colleague I have never interacted with), they just don't know when to shut up. Ultimate "chatty Kathy". I've never heard someone feel the need to consistently talk so often in moments they really shouldn't. Surprised nobody has told them off yet cause of how annoying they get. To friends they might seem funny being unfiltered and speaking their mind 24/7, but to basically everyone else it's just "shut up already".

I'm sure everyone has someone like that in or around their life whether they like it or not. And any day they're not around, everyone notices and definitely thinks "it's so nice and quiet today. ____ must not be here"

I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Or worse...when you walk into one where the toilet is clogged from the previous visitor and, since the housekeeper's closet is right next door, you decide to help out and grab the plunger. After taking care of it, you open the door, plunger in hand, to someone waiting to go in. Caught red-handed and it wasn't even you...

Yep, I'm FB friends with one of my former college professors and she said that in a non-joking manner. She's brilliant and has a PhD but comes out with that nonsense.

Also, when you are in a normal sized line and the cashier is moving at a good speed and another person in line starts to complain about the line and make comments about opening another register.

Bonus hate when its their turn and they hold up the line with some nonsense.

I feel like women single-handedly keep the astrology/horoscope industry alive. I have theories on that, but I'll leave it alone lol.

When a 15-year-old is cashiering at the grocery store and everyone in line is trying to buy booze. So they keep calling the adult over to scan it in. One of the many reasons the do it yourself lanes are superior in every conceivable way.

Just finished up a game of NCAA football, gotta let all the post game highlights and scenes run so it doesn't freeze, in the background I hear some flicking sound in the hall... 2 seconds later my power goes out. It hits me, someone is in the hall flicking the switches in the fuse box. Lady down the hall was just flipping them all. Who does that? What the ****? Gotta reset all my clocks and replay that whole game just because of her
