What is the most pain that youve ever been in? **

Mine had to be when I detached my retina.....
they basically cut your eyeball open, put a "buckle" in and liquid stitch it back......when the anestesia and vicadin wore off it was TERRIBLE

If you all remember Courtney Brown (I think thats his name), he was the guy that got hit in the eye with the referee flag....he had the same surgery and can never play again....its no joke

Umm, October 16th, 2003. The Marlins finished off my Cubs in the playoffs and went on to become eventual World Series Champions....well...no, that was the most pain I have ever been in.

On a personal note......I have ripped my rotator cuff in college, broke my shoulder blade in football in high school....the worst was when some kid put his helmet into the bottom part of my spine.....small of my back...I was horrible pain for two weeks and could barley walk. missed the rest of season and I still hurt from that to this day

HS basketball... went for a layup and someone cut my knees underneath me. I landed with all my weight on my forearm and got a butterfly fracture. After by elbow joint by forearm bent going downward as if it was my elbow. Out of shock, I bent it back. Ouch! Two surgeries, a pin, rod, plate and a year later I was able to play.

That pain was quick though. When I got burned that was freaking terrible as that pain wouldn't go away throughout the entire night. So both come close.

I can't top your pain, but I had 4 impacted wisdom teeth that were ready to go one morning(terrible pain all of a sudden). I went to the oral surgeon that afternoon. He couldn't pull the teeth then because of abcess. Antibiotics for almost 2 weeks and pain killers(not much help). Then came the day for surgery-all 4 at once. I was eating soup for 4 days thereafter and anything entering my freshly cut mouth was a new experience in pain. Painkillers only do so much. I lost a stitch and got re-infected-dry socket.
This could have been avoided IF I went to the dentist when one of the wisdom teeth started nagging at me every now and then. Lesson to be learned: If you have wisdom tooth irritation-go to the dentist NOW! because,if you don't, it could abcess and attack at any given moment. And if it's a weekend or if your'e on atrip-you might be on the highway to hell.

I had to have re-contructive surgery on my foot when I was a teenager. The doctor told me he was going to have to crush every bone in my foot (except the heel I believe) along with my toes, take out my Achilles tendon and stretch it out and put it back in, put pins in my toes to fuse them straight, fuse my ankle with a screw, reconstruct my arch with staples and stuff, and also take one muscle out of my foot and relocate another one it its place. The doctors had to do some work on the other foot as well, but they didn't have to fuse the ankle.

I remember waking up in the recovery room and with the worst pain imaginable in my foot for about 5 seconds, then I think I passed out, LOL. When I woke up in my hospital room it still hurt a lot because the morphine wasn't working properly, but it wasn't as bad when I first woke up.

Hm it's a toss up between

                  1) falling off a chair and nearly gashing my eye wide open on the edge of a wall

                  or

                  2) the 2 weeks of recovering from testicular surgery. Let's just say that taking a leak was a very laborious chore.

It is a toss up between a kidney stone I had a few years ago and the time I had to get a spinal tap.

The kidney stone was bad, but I passed it relatively quickly so I was lucky. The spinal tap was bad, especially when I rolled over in my sleep and spinal fluid leaked out of the puncture hole. Talk about a MAJOR headache.

I broke a bone in my hand playing softball. It didn't hurt that bad though. I had a cast on my entire arm for 6 weeks. That's probably about it for me.

When I was 12 I had a permanent tooth pulled by a dentist before the novacaine took effect. That sucked balls.

In college I tore up my shin sliding into second base while playing softball and got about a 5 inch abrasion, which then became infected. When I went to VT's health center to have it looked at they notified me that they would have to cleanse the wound in order to get the infection out. This process basically involved me biting down on a mouthguard while one nurse scraped the infected skin off with a rough sponge and another nurse sprayed the wound with saline solution. That also sucked balls.

But the worst was when I cracked my tailbone in high school at football practice. While attempting to block someone I was knocked backward onto the ground with my tailbone landing on a stray rock (and for some reason my tailpad had shifted, becoming useless). I didn't really notice the pain other than an aching sensation in my back. The real pain came when I attempted to get into and out of my car, which caused me to pretty much double over. I went to the doctor to get the injury checked out and I was notified that they needed to make sure that there was no internal bleeding in the area. This involved the 300+ lb. doctor inserting his size 12 finger into a place that no finger should ever, ever be (at least not on me). That was both physically, and emotionally painful.
Overall satisfaction also makes the decline!!!!!!!!!!!!
