I broke my collarbone when I was 12 playing dodgeball...good God, I've never felt pain like that.

Bad thing was that it was on my left side and since I'm left handed, I basically couldn't do jack for 4 or 5 months...sucked hard.

I think when I broke the back part of my kneecap off, dislocated my knee cap, tore my meniscus and mcl, and ripped the quad muscle off my knee all in one freak basketball injury could have been the worst pain in the world. Ugh.

I got my tonsils out when I was 14 or 15, easiest thing I've ever done. My wisdom teeth hurt more than getting my tonsils out.

I just realized how much **** I've had happen:
-surgery for ear tubes as a kid, I have like 7 sets of ear tubes
-broken collarbone, fell out of bed at my grandma's house onto a wood floor, she told me to go back to sleep, so I didn't go to the hospital until the next morning
-broken wrist, broke it playing tennis, my body fell onto my wrist and it just snapped
-wisdom teeth
-tonsils out
-back surgery

I wonder what my next surgical adventure will be.

Geez, I bet they had you do like 5 MRI's for that sequence of events and injuries....and if you did the MRI...was it open aired, or did you have to go in the bullet capsule?

When I was 21, I was working construction with my dad over the summer. We were drilling holes through the studs to re-run a gas line. He was drilling the hole and I was holding a cloth over the opened gas pipe so that dust and debris didn't get into the line. I was using two hands to hold th cloth. Eventually my arm got a little tired so instead of using two hands and holding the cloth spread open, I used one hand to just hold the part over the pipe, which is exactly on the other side of the stud my dad was drilling. Right when I switched to the one hand, the drill went through the stud and into the back side of my thumb (the nail side). He was using one of those spade bits used to drill holes where there is a sharp point at the end. It went down into the bone and I had to get several stiches. I lost feeling in my thumb for a few weeks, but luckily it came back just in time for fall ball in my senior year of college.

Yeah man it was BRUTAL! Two weeks of laying on my side with a catheter on me and all that jazz.

Luckily I was young enough that it didn't faze me THAT much but goodness! Not something i'd wish on my worst enemy.
