That's exactly what I meant when I said competition breeds success and that's good for all consumers. Same goes for baseball... I know, it's a third party license, but that still eliminates the vast majority of developers. Only Sony, MS and Nintendo are not binded by the license agreement and Sony is the only one of those 3 that produces a baseball game other than 2K. Great for PS users, terrible for Xbox users.

Unfortunately, I've been very underwhelmed by all the sports games I've played this year.

Yeah I know. I've been on the fence with a PS3 for a long time now. I just don't think I'll get enough playing time to justify the purchase.

Yeah, it sucks but we miss out on the best baseball game because we know we wouldn't play the PS3 as much otherwise (every other online game I'd get for 360 if it was offered for both, too many OS'ers to play).

I wish MS would kick out a baseball game and take advantage of the licensing.

I'm actually in gamer heaven pretty much, with ME, Assassin's Creed, and Super Mario Galaxy...I'm passing on CH for a while (and haven't played a NBA game yet)...I'm just enjoying what they throw at me, I no longer dwell on sports games like I used to.

Mike, you're one of the biggest baseball fans IMO here on OS. You're not doing the digital little players on the Pirates any justice by missing out on this game.

If you like baseball THAT much, you'll get use of out of it. At $399, plus the fact it's a Blu-Ray player... I don't think you can go wrong.

Plus some really good games have been coming out lately...
