If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

I would go that route if cable internet was not so expensive here. It is cheaper to have my home phone with DSL and the cell phone plan me and my dad share.

I never really thought about it, and I guess I understand why some don't have one, but I never knew it'd be this many.

I couldn't get by without a house phone, though.

But isn't your phone bill of the charts?

My wife and I have both still.

We live about a mile away from a local airport, meaning that their equipment creates a giant dead spot which we live right-smack in the middle of.

I will say, the landline came in handy when our power was out for 18 hours this past weekend. We could continue to communicate with the outside world without having to worry about finding a spot in the house where the cell would actually work.
Overall satisfaction also makes the decline!!!!!!!!!!!!
