I just checked, my last visit there was August 23 of last year. Much more recent than I was expecting.

See, this is what I hate. Riley and I have been posting on DSM for like, three years. We're as close to "friends" as you can get without actually hanging out (due to location). I'm not trying to be funny; I'm messing with Riley. I don't care if any of you laughs at anything I say ever.

Was your name Matt10 over there? Reason I ask is because i remember a Matt10 from Overland Park,KS that posted on MM. I used to think it was former Vandy BBall player Matt Frieje since he was from Overland Park, KS and i'd never heard of it,lol

Funny you mention Matt Freije though, I used to play b-ball against him a LONG time ago, and watched him play in High School. Didn't go to the same HS, but we were in the same conference and graduated HS the same year.

That'd be the worst thing about a merger. For a long, long time some people will always been seen as either "OS guys" or "DSM guys"...

It'll be like freshman year at the high school in the city that has two middle schools.

And sometimes Immaturity is the best kind of medicine. The best threads at DSM are the ones that go off in 100 different directions and get completely out of control (for instance, the Aerobed thread). The mods keep control, but arguments break out, people trash talk each other, random comments are made, etc., and it's (mostly) all in good fun. The thing is, that's never allowed to happen here, or at least not that I've seen. The moment it does, one of the mods comes in shaking their fingers and the fun ceases.

They can take me or any of the mods as serious as they want, that doesn't stop any of us from at least warning you guys.

We are all in for what is sure to be a new day, for better or worse. Having a larger community is better for both sites. DSM/MM is more concentrated on users 'hanging out', while we tend to lean towards getting information about the games out in our forums. We are obviously polar opposites in terms of how we act as sites, but that just might be a perfect marriage.

We will see, but let's try not to start off on a bad foot.

As well it shouldn't, because it's ridiculous and confusing, therefore it has no point or reason to be open. An incoherent discussion is worthless.
