Hey, this probably comes down to how trusting you are in general. Personally I'm very trusting until something like this goes down. Like Dook said if it's cool with you, how can you even be sure your friend isn't lying to you now? Maybe he banged her... who knows? Why should you trust him if he lied to you and kept this a secret all this time... your supposed "boy?"

Just don't be surprised when he's banging your wife like a pornstar. Then maybe you can give him a high 5 and thank him for exposing the woman to be the whore she really is.

What else are best buds for?

It has. I forgave him for it, and moved on. I'm not the one to judge him and I gave him a 2nd chance. We are best friends to this day, and that girl I don't know where she is or how shes doing. Meaning it wasn't the one I was supposed to be with, and I can live with that.

I'm not saying bros before hos is wrong, it's just a respect thing. Best friends don't mess with your girfriend. I even had a friend come tell me stuff my girlfriend was doing. That's more respectful than him messing around with her, then telling me years later and hoping I brush it off as her being a slut.

It takes two people for your girlfriend and best friend to cheat behind your back.

My best friend went out with my ex of 15 months, 3 months after I broke up with her.

As soon as he told he they were about to start dating (which was WELL after feelings were established and WELL after the ship had started to sail), I stopped being friends with him and it's been over 3 years since I did that. I'll never be friends with him as long as I live.

Yeah, putting myself in that situation, I'd be pretty heated. 15 months is a long time. And just 3 months later my best friend is going out with that same girl? That's pretty beat.

I don't know how long I'd be able to hold a grudge though. I'm not really good at it. But who knows. Hasn't happened to me, hopefully it doesn't.

Since "John" did it when Joe and the girl were still dating then yes, that is ****ED up.

However, the whole friend dating an ex is so blown out of proportion to me.

Same thing happened to me too. I rarely talk to him, only in passing if I see him around the town.

The sad thing is is she cheated on me while we were dating, then dated that guy for just a few weeks, then dated my friend. He knew what he was getting into. I've heard that she's cheated on him since but he's kept her around. He gets whats coming to him.

Never. He asked me "before it was official" but it was very clear that he was telling me just so he can say he told me. It was just a formality.

I would never be accepting of it, especially how hostile the situation was. It was like a hostile takeover. I recently found out that on my class Armenia trip, two weeks after I broke up with the girl, they "hooked up" with each other. All the while, he was trying to "console" me, having heart-to-hearts and telling me everything'll be alright and ****. Yeah, right.
