She is to blame for working there to begin with. Smoke bothers me and I can't stand it. I can pick up the smell from across a room in a restaurant and it will start bothering me immediately. I don't go into places where there is smoke unless I have too. Its fine with me if people want to smoke in a restaurant, but they need to do like the airports do and enclose the room and suck the air up to the ceilling and remove it. That way the smokers can choose to go smell and die, and everyone else wouldn't have to be bothered by it.

Even though she should've controlled her asthma better that might have been the only place that she could work at the time.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

So you are acknowledging that it's a health issue yet saying you believe people should have a choice to damage their health along with yours and others? That just doesn't make sense to me. If it was something like drinking beer where the only person's liver that's affected is the person's drinking it'd be an issue of personal choice but it's not, if others choose to smoke then those around them also choose to smoke unwillingly. Telling people to "just go elsewhere" due to a known health issue is ridiculous IMO.

No, she should not have been able to drive. She should not have been able to drive because that would be a threat to the health of all the other drivers on the road. Just like people should not be able to smoke in closed-air public places because that is a threat to the health of all the other people in the area.

yeah... cigarette smokers are more dangerous than epileptic drivers.

It should be a choice of the restaurant, but I think they should have to enclose the room and provide 2 different air systems. If they want to allow smoking, that is fine, but they need to provide clean air for those that don't want to. If they don't I won't eat there and that what will hurt them more. Drinking isn't healthy, effects more than just the person, etc, but do you say we should ban that, make people turn in their keys. I don't drink, so I don't go to bars, but what you are saying is I have a right to demand that a bar not serve alcohol while I'm there.

There's more deaths caused by poor eating habits than there are caused by cigarettes.

I have no problem with people wanting to ban smoking in public indoor places, that's fine, but the some of these posts are just hilarious.

A person's eating habits have no adverse health effects for other people however.

I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
