She's the type of person who is going to complain if I don't talk to her everyday. With her it's "all of nothing." So, even though we're exes now, she sitll has these expectations of seeing me everyday. If we don't see each other everyday, she's going to start an argument and inevitably end with "that's it we're never talking again"

I know you guys said I need to ignore her. I'm just saying, I can't really "ease" into it with her because of the way she will react. Like I said, it's all or nothing with her. Sometimes she says we can eb friends, and sometimes she says we cant. But when she says we can, she expects to see me everyday.

However, I agree that not seeing her might be the only way to stop this jealousy and really get over her. I appreciate your advice.

Ignoring her will also be hard because we live in the same dorm, and next semester we'll be living a few doors away :\

Pretty much. When you invite a gf over, and you're watching a TV show when they come in, and they walk home in the rain immediately b/c they are pissed b/c you are watching "our show" by yourself instead of with them, then yeah, you wind up not knowing what the **** they are going to do next. Thus, you end up walking on eggshells.

Oh yeah, and you take your car and drive by them walking, asking them to get in so you can drive them home, and they just wind up slapping you and not getting in.

Geez. I've always been a big fan that any relationship that involves the police just really isn't a great relationship. Plus once somebody lays hands on somebody else in a violent manner it should be done. Who dates somebody who hits them? How messed up do people have to be to not understand that? I dunno...maybe it's just the way I was raised and I'm the exception.

Well you should let her "walk the walk" on the "we're never talking again" B.S. she is spitting..........

Maybe, just maybe, she's not completely over you just yet. If that's the case, you could perhaps gain the upper hand (that is, if you wanted it) by cutting her off if she's trying to threaten you by not talking to you again. Test her and see if she's a woman of her word.



Assuming that you would like a future with this girl (you wouldn't have made this thread if you didn't want a future at least a little bit) one of two things will happen:

1. If she indeed carries out her plans of not talking to you again, then that could be one less headache for you......... she wouldn't be threating you anymore and you both can move on with your lives. If you two are going to be living fairly close by, she won't be knocking on your door everyday in this scenario. As long as you don't knock on hers, you're straight. You can say "Hi" when you see her in the hall but you don't have to be rude and you don't have to carry conversation. In the grand scheme of things, it just wasn't meant to be and it would not be up to you to try and force it.

2. If she was just bluffing when she claimed she's not talking to you, then it's possible that you could gain upper hand in the sense of you not talking to her when she wants. Even if you two don't hook back up, at the very least she wouldn't have that control over you.


By letting her set the "requirement" that you two must talk everyday is letting her set the tempo. Whether you want each other back or not, I imagine you don't want her to have that much control over you, especially if she's not even officially your girlfriend.

As far as that new guy of hers, she might be just throwing him in your face to get a reaction out of you. Don't give her that reaction. Cutting her off won't give her that reaction and it will let her know that you are "handling biz."

In either instance, as far as that punching incident and you trying to let people know that she hit you, you just need to charge that to the game and not worry about what those people think.........

ninjamonkey, I don't know how to tell u this but this girl has a lot of problems. The sooner u get away from her the better. It sounds like u can get in troubles with this one, so watch out. I had some issues with my ex (also some slapping and stuff). One day u'll be thankful u've listened to the people here. Take it from me.

Reading a private conversation I had with my mom (already mentioned), breaking up with me because I wanted to play a video game before coming over to her place, "getting attacked in a parking lot" 2 nights after she punched me, walking home in the rain and refusing a ride because I was watching Family Guy on TV when she came over, etc.
