Had all 4 taken out at once as well as an impacted tooth from inside my gum. Glad I never have to do it again. Please stop the bleeding! Oh, I'm supposed to say something encouraging? Uh, you'll only go through it once? Good luck.

It's not that bad. The bleeding isn't as bad as everyone says, you get a bunch of Percs, and it's quite literally over before you know it.

Then again, I got mine removed two days before NCAA came out so...

          I've only gotten one out...now I have 31 teeth.

I had one that got a cavity pretty bad...they just yanked it...it wasn't bad.

The other three have a happy home and don't want to leave.

          Good luck

Good luck man! I had 2 taken out in 2003: one on a regular procedure, but the second one was more complicated. It was done on a hospital with full anesthetization (or whatever u call it) and it was a hard day. Basically everything went well, but then after a day I started to feel those awful pains and even painkillers couldn't handle it. It takes a few days untill it's gone.

I got mine out at the end of August. It was my first time getting anesthesia and it was a wild experience. But I got home and there was some pain but nothing that was out of your mind bad. I was fine relatively soon (3 days).

It's a guarantee someone will post about wisdom teeth every 3-4 months

It's not that bad when they take them out. Mine was sick only because of the long *** ******* needles they stuck in my gums to numb me the **** up. OMG!!! Oh, and my face swelled up like a hot air balloon!!!

But after that, the crunching of teeth and chiseling them out and sewing your gums back up is pretty much nothing

Back in high school I had all of mine taken out. The surgery was done on a Friday and I went to a Browns game on Sunday, though I felt terrible the first day or so. The worst was that a few weeks later I got fluid where one of the teeth was and it was painful. Glad I only had to do that once.

I rather enjoyed the "laughing gas" they gave me prior to having mine removed. That's a plus, right?

I was offered the chance to be put under for the procedure and took it. Woke up what felt like 10 minutes later and left.

Although, it did look like my mouth was having a period.

I had mine removed last summer. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but some people say it really sucks. Good luck though.

                            Re: Wisdom Teeth

Apparently mine were tough to get out, and I woke up during the surgery with a drill whirring and several people around my head. I remember one of them saying "looks like he's waking up" and then getting knocked out again.

I wasn't really in pain when I woke up again, but remember being very confused and thinking that something went totally wrong with the surgery. Took me about 15 minutes to get my wits about me again.

Percs were great the first day but I got off them after the first day since my pain wasn't that bad. Just looked like a chipmunk for a few days. Hopefully you are as lucky.

Same thing happened to me. They gave me the IV to knock me out, but I started to wake up a little bit sometime during it. I didn't feel anything, and they took care of the problem real quick, but it's an interesting sight to see. I guess mine didn't come out too easily.

The pain wasn't bad at all, and they give you pills to deal with it, so no worries there. I just had to have those cotton balls in my mouth which were kind of annoying. I was in high school when I had mine taken out, so my mom drove me to it, and she locked the keys in the car. Apparently I was a little loopy and was walking around the office trying to convince them to let me try to get the car open, so they had to sit with me in the office to make sure I didn't do anything stupid.
