I have been talking to the girl in question, and we're going to have a relationship.....FRIENDS ONLY! I'm not about to go through a divorce plus I love my wife, and baby. There is an attraction, or chemistry, or connection, or whatever you want to call it between us, but I think people can be attracted to each other, and still be just friends. I'm not going to do anything crazy. I guess I value this girl too much to let her slip out of my life. As I said before there is more to this than her being someone that I'm being tempted to jump in the sack with. Trust me, if I was really wanting to do that it would have done happened by now!

She knows I have women friends, and I know she had men friends when she was working. My wife is not the controlling type, and has a high level of trust in me. Likewise I treat her the same. I'll always trust her to make the right decision until she gives me a reason not to believe in her anymore.

The reason that I was asking is because men and women alike will say that "oh me and the guy/girl are just friends. I am devoted/faithful to my spouse/significant other." While saying that is all fine and good, more often then not, this person's significant other doesn't know about said "friend".

Well I will speak as a married man who has fallen prey to a work relationship. I worked with a female on a overnight shift and we were good friends and it started as just friends who would maybe flirt here and there. Then we started reffering then it moved to her saying I was her work spouse. It continue to escalate to the point where I almost full fledged cheated but I didnt go thru with it... But I sure the hell wanted to. I felt bad that I cheated to the point that I did and I left the young lady alone and luckily she respected my wishes and it did not move into some stupid ish... like her telling my wife or stabbing tires. In my situation though I loved my wife but our relationship was strained at home and that opened up the situation to even allow me to befriend another female like that but there is no excuse.


All in all though I think I flirt way too much as a married man and thats something I try and work on.... cause I would be pissed if the shoe is on the other foot.

Well,if you mess with her-and wifey finds out(this is possible)You could lose... A.The wife and half of everything you own.
B.Respect from your family and everyone else involved
C. The woman you messed with could have a knack for telling everyone and that gets around quick.
One more thing-If you did go for the other woman and you do put on a raincoat-and still she ends up PG-then what are you gonna do? eighteen years of child support and divorce to boot. There is more than 3 strikes here that you can't deny could happen if you decide to "jump in the pool". Too much to lose here. And besides,you get to live with the guilt even if no one finds out,that's not good. Added note: I didn't dredge through every page on this subject,but there is alot of good advice here. I'm throwing out my thoughts on this anyway, in hopes that if someone else is skimming over the pages and lands on my post,it could make a difference.
