I'm with Scott. This will turn out badly, as there's no way you can just shut off the sexual attraction you feel for this woman. Labeling her as a "friend" will do nothing to change the charge this chick gives you.

Just be careful... of taking advice of people that are not married with children.

I have been married for 14 years with 3 children and you are going through the biggest test in your life.

Oh yeah, the big lie of "she will be my friend" will land you in some really bad places. Keep it professional and move it on.

Same thing for women. You can say she understands all day long, but ask her if you have a chance to hit it off, and that you would make arrangements, and its all over.

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Alot of women love to destroy marriages, its a game to them. Once you do anything with her which doesn't even have to be physical, confiding in her private info in enough and she has you by the balls. If you weren't going to do anything with this chick, you wouldn't even be tempted. Say goodbye to your family life as you know it. Carry on.

Not being able to turn down a woman's advances is a sign of weakness to me. Believe me, I have been far from perfect throughout my life. I used to have sex with as many women as possible because that's what I thought guys were supposed to do. Eventually, I realized that sex alone wasn't enough to make me happy and I really had to reevaluate myself as a person. I found God and it changed the way I view the world in general. Now I can interact with jaw-dropping women and not want to have sex with them. I still recognize beauty, but I only plan on having sex with a woman that I'm committed to. When a woman obviously has an interest in me, I simply guide the conversation in a non-sexual way. If she still tries to be sexual I simply end the conversation and move on. Nobody dictates what I do but me.

Agreed. The only reason this chick was important was because he wanted to jump her bones. That doesn't translate into being an "important female friend." Cut her loose now or it's going to cause problems down the line. At first, I respected the fact that this guy was being honest, but now he's just being ignorant.
