Re: Guess who I saw at the donut shop sunday morning.
Hmm celebs, I seen a few
At the Michael Jordan golf tournament I worked for Waste Management probably in 1991 Got to shake hands with Sugar Ray, Hollyfield. Took a picture with Alan Thicke. Charles Barkley stared at me since I was a few feet away after he messed up his golf swing, gave Ernie Banks a bottle of water, did the same to Keith Magnusan, gave Stan Makita and his wife/daughter a ride to their cars in our golf cart. Also passed by Ed Marinera and David Robinson.
Also worked on Chris Tererri's (goalie) laptop when I worked in a store in Chicago and worked on Terry Borz pc (local sports radio guy) at his condo.
Met Rick Tabbaracci at Chelis Chilli after he shutout the Blackhawks.
Met Jim Schwantz (Bears, Dallas) and had a few meetings last year as he was the representitive of the orginization that was moving equipment from a newly acquired company into our facility.
I think thats it
Thought of one more although I cant be sure, back in 1981 my friend was bowling in a beat the stars tournament and Im pretty sure he was going against Chevy Chase. At the end I walked down by my friend and Chevy said good game - I told him I didnt bowl and in his "good talk- Russ" voice he said "weeelll thats ok, thats ok" and patted me on my shoulders. I was 8 or 9 so I cant be sure if it was him or not.Last edited by e0820; 03-19-2008, 01:33 PM.Comment

I met some players from the Ottawa Senators here in Montreal at a club. Ray Emery was very nice and candid.Comment

Re: Guess who I saw at the donut shop sunday morning.
my father worked for the cardiology group that did ultrasounds on the players during the combine in indianapolis. pretty much anybody who made the draft had an ultrasound done by him, but his favorite story was one year when he went to the bathroom and don schula stepped into the urinal next to him. he almost peed himself ....Individuality: Always remember that you are unique. I live in memphis and me and my dad went to go get some donuts at a really busy dunk n donuts.
And right there in front of me in line was John Calipari.
Then I said, "DAD! Theres Jon Calipari!" and my dad was like "who?" and i was like "THE COACH FOR MEMPHIS!"
and he turned around and shook our hands and stuff.
then everyone like rushed him.
it was cool.

Ah that's an awesome story man!
The only athlete I saw was Chris Higgins (Montreal Canadiens) and I ended up having a coffee with him at a downtown Starbucks. Cool guy!Comment

Last summer I was down in LA, we went to Fashion Island which is a big outdoor, fancy mall. I see this big, athletic looking guy in all white walk past me. In my head I'm thinking, that has to be a Bball player. lol. I tried to play it cool but I couldn't stops staring. It clicked that I was looking at Kobe and then his wife walked up with a couple of kids. She had the big-*** ring on her finger lol. That was pretty cool!University of Oregon

Athletes that I have met...
Lots. We have a hotel here in Appleton (The Radisson, former the Paper Valley Hotel) that all the football teams stay in when they come to play the Packers. I've talked to plenty of the Bears players, and met quite a few randoms from the teams. They always walk down College Ave (the street with all the bars and hotels here.)
Met lots of Packers last year too at the mall randomly when we'd go last year when I was in GB for school.badComment
