I've never met anyone, although, living in North Carolina I have seen several NASCAR drivers when down in Charlotte. I saw Rusty Wallace once. I actually used to live in the same neighborhood in Thomasville, NC as Bobby Labonte before he moved. I saw him and some of his friends ride out on motorcycles and saw him playing basketball in the driveway. Then, later on, Dave Blaney moved into the neighborhood, though I did not see much of them.
My dad, who is an airline pilot, flew the Carolina Panthers football team once and stayed in the same hotel as the Buffalo Bills football team.
Cool story by the way!Comment

I've never met any real big superstars but when I played minor hockey I met Mike Fisher of the Ottawa Senators and Todd White when he was with Ottawa.
My parents did meet Daniel Alfredsson, the best Senators player in franchise history, at the grocery store once.NHL: Ottawa Senators

Re: Guess who I saw at the donut shop sunday morning.
Ive only met 2 people in public, I met Rasheed Wallace and said hello and moved on with my business. I also saw Cliff Robinson in a local Red Lobster, he was walking to his table just as I got up to leave and I actually bumped into him, he was cool and I recognized him instantly but he was with his family and there was no way I was going to bother him at that point.
EDIT- I almost forgot, Kevin Duckworth used to come into a Walgreens that I worked at to develop pictures so I met him and saw him a bunch of times, other then that it was just older Blazers when they would do public signings at local stores.Comment

I live in memphis and me and my dad went to go get some donuts at a really busy dunk n donuts.
And right there in front of me in line was John Calipari.
Then I said, "DAD! Theres Jon Calipari!" and my dad was like "who?" and i was like "THE COACH FOR MEMPHIS!"
and he turned around and shook our hands and stuff.
then everyone like rushed him.
it was cool.Comment

I guess this is how John Chaney would act if he saw Calipari at a Dunk'n Donuts.

Re: Guess who I saw at the donut shop sunday morning.
Sorry for going off topic but I have a good one for ya......
About 14 years ago, I'm in the bathroom at Midway airport in Chicago draining the main vein
Behind me in the stall I hear some major commotion!! At first I'm just ignoring it but it continues and hear some grunting sounds as well.....very disturbing stuff
Hmmmm, I turn my head around toward the stall to see what the hell was going on and see the walls of the stall shaking violently, there's a large piece of luggage on the ground and I see clothes hanging over the stall door. At that moment, I'm thinking "OKay, time to shake it off and get the hell out!!!!"
As I'm tucking the tool away, the stall door flew open and out walks Dan HamptonHe see's me staring and says "Hey, Fella". About the only thing that I could say was "YO DAN". LOL
True Story!! That dude was big and tortured the inside of that stall.......WOW !!XBL Gamertag: hoos4974

Re: Guess who I saw at the donut shop sunday morning.
I have one celebrity that I am actually pretty good friends with and that's Charles Barkley. I've known Charles for about 7 years now since I ran a Health Club near his Mom's house in Birmingham. I usually get to hang out with him once or twice a month as he comes back to Bham regularly or we hang out in Atlanta while he's there for his TNT gig.
Other than Sir Charles, I know a lot of former Auburn players through school, etc.
The only non-Auburn, etc. celebrity I've run into is Megadeth and former Metallica member Dave Mustaine in Hudson, Ohio at a steakhouse while I was up there. Freaking sweet!AUBURN TIGERS

My best Athlete sighting, outside of at a game, was Jonathan Ogden going into a Target. It was about a week before summer camp started, the year that the Ravens were on Hard Knocks.
Also Cal Ripken at BWI airport on a flight to Orlando. Just saw him briefly though.Comment

Non-athletes, but my dad almost wiped out Billy Joel and (now-ex) Christie Brinkley about 12 years ago pulling into a parking lot..
Also, I personally rented a car to the immortal Ron Jeremy about 4 years ago..
Met Mick Foley a few times as he comes in often to the airport I work at (pretty cool guy)..Comment

I like how every comment you make in a thread is somehow talking about how great of an athlete you are, what great shape you're in, or how hilarious you are. We get it, buddy.. you love yourself.Comment
