Whats weird, or coincidental about me meeting my wife that way was her dad met her step mom that way (online) and her grandparents met through an ad in the paper.......thats a little freaky

I'm telling you man...that's the way to do it. No meeting at a bar BS or anything like that. You have two people, both looking for the same thing, and the ability to filter through all the wack jobs before you find someone you think is normal enough to contact. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

I couldnt agree more. I like being able to filter through. YOu met someone at a bar, it could be great, but you dont know if they have vices you dont have, what they are like outside of the bar. At least online you can get a feel for the person, find out a little about them etc.

One of my turnofss in a woman is a smoker, and you never know what you'll get at a bar, but i can flat out ask in any other forum.......i did, and now im married.........w00t

I guess i should clarify my comments. Im not saying meeting someone at a bar is bad, i think whatever works and gets you where you wanna be is great. Alot of people think those dating sites are jokes, and thats their opinion, but i disagree.......bottom line is, if you find someone you wanna be with at the end of every day, doesnt matter how you meet them.

I met all my girlfriends (and my wife, of course) online and never payed to those sites. Actually, about 3 years ago a friend told me about a way to chat/send/receive PMs on the J-Date site (it's the most popular site here). So for a while I could do it all for free, until they blocked it...but it was great lol.

I agree...I met the woman I'm dating through Match and it's going really well. I think it allows you to weed out a lot of the people you know aren't compatible with you. I can't do the bar scene anymore, loud music and all isn't conducive to meeting someone for a real relationship. Sure, if you want to hook up it's great, but that's not my goal.

Personally I've found that once you're past college and in the "real world" for a while, it's tough meeting new people (guys or girls). You have your circle of friends, but it's not like college where you'd constantly meet new dating prospects. Online dating is a way to meet people you'd never otherwise have gotten to know.

I know TJ has said in another thread that he met his wife through Match, so that stuff really does happen...and boy, he married out of his league (see the OS picture thread), so it must work

I was watching the morning show on MSNBC. I guess people in Israel can go postal too? Did you guys see the video of the bulldozer guy ram a bus over? That's just crazy stuff. Apparently two people died and the crazy guy was killed on sight by Israeli police.

Oh and on the subject of MSNBC I now present to you another hot newsbabe!

I didn't see the vid but I heard it was crazy! And it was a terror attack, not just a crazy civilian...Anyway, we were listening to music on an online radio station, and when the news came (we have news flash every exact hour) I heard about this. I can't really say anything that fits OS standards, so I won't say a thing.

I don't know, we are kinda hurting financially right now, and its really stressing me out. I just can't seem to relax. Tried to play my PS3 but im just bored with all the games.
