What do you guys do to stay focused?

I've been trying to study for Psych for the last 3 days and I just can't do it. My exam is tommorow at 12:30, and I'm no where near prepared.

I would always put it off til the night before and just cram from after dinner until 1-2am. If that wasn't enough time then oh well - which is probably why I graduated with a 2.4 GPA, lol. I could never prepare for a test in advance, too many other fun things to do in college!

Tell me about it.

I fell into a bad habit of missing classes, and now I find myself digging a deeper hole. I missed my Sociology midterm (LOL), but was able to talk my way out of it to the Prof, and he's letting me just write an essay or two to make up for it (it's his first year teaching, and he doesn't know wtf's going on).

More and more I ask myself what the hell I'm doing here. I had really good grades in high school so I felt that this is where I belonged. Hm.

Whenever I miss class it's because I oversleep. :o

Hasn't happened too often, thankfully, but that's the reason 90% of the time.

Most times I find it pointless because the notes are all posted online and all the prof does is go over them for 2 hours. So all I do is read the text and print the notes off and go through them myself. So I don't find a point going to those long lectures only to come out with nothing.

I don't miss English class, though. We actually do productive things in that class, like going through short stories and essay writing. When there's classes with 400 people and the Prof sounds like the guy from Ferris Beuller, you really don't feel motivated to go.

If I wasn't an athlete I would've gone to every class. All the non-athletes had so much damn free time it's ridiculous. The kids who don't play a sport and don't go to class are huge, huge slackers.

I missed quite a few classes in my days.
