Re: Moving to England Tomorrow
It's nice though if you're earning money while there; I was just in school there for the 5 months so I was in the hole all the time.
Xavier, are you working at Canary Wharf or something?

Re: Moving to England Tomorrow
Thanks guys.
I'm moving to London - Greenwich to be exact. Expensive but there are three of us going together into an affordable two bedroom and we'll all be getting paid (every week) in pounds. Shouldn't be too bad. I'm already coming up with a grandiose scheme to get Arsenal and Glastonbury Festival tickets.Comment

Re: Moving to England Tomorrow
He's probably jet lagged. I remember when I went to England in '01. I left probably the same time as him as it was a 10 PM flight IIRC. Anyways by the time I got to England I was soo tired. I slept for nearly 24 hrs!Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

I couldn't imagine sleeping for that long. I can barely sleep 6-8 hours as it is.Comment

Re: Moving to England Tomorrow
When I got to LA there I had a massive jet lag - it's 10 hours earlier than in my country. So I flew about 12 hours to NY (didn't sleep at all during that flight), and then almost 6 hour flight to LA (slept about an hour). And I got to LA in the morning but didn't take a rest. I started the tour and had a lot of fun. Hey! It was my first (and only so far) time in the US!My Specs:

Moving however might be completely different.Comment

Re: Moving to England Tomorrow
Whats up Boys!
Yeah, I made it. In one piece, too. I slept about 16 hours the day/night I got in but feel great now. I'm in the process of securing a flat in Southwest London (Clapham) and just love the area. There is a huge commons (park) that is awesome and I guess babes go there all summer and you can just bring a case of beer and play footie.
I haven't even gone into Central London just because I've been running around getting bank accounts (free to use debit cards here) and a place to live. Its pretty awesome though and despite a few down pours its been warm and sunny.
I start teaching on Monday but coming over with this small agency has been nice as they put us up for a week and I have their office to take care of emails and internet and the sort.
I've had a few nice conversations with Brits about Football and the like, many of disappointed about Arsenal but I have seen many Man U shirts/jerseys lately, especially after Chelsea's performance yesterday. I feel really involved in Football here because there is little to no coverage of any other sport. When I go to bed its like 3 pm on the west coast so nothing has even got under way. I miss my North American sports, big time.
I have a week off in May and am thinking about where I want to go. Germany is calling to me.Comment
