As much as I like summer people lose their damn minds around this time, I live around a lot of gun play but luckily it has avoided the block I actually live on and with me having kids I hope it stays that way.

Warm Weather = Guns and Violence
We had nice weather here finally in the Midwest this past weekend with temps right around 70 and I see in Chicago there were 30 people that got shot so I ask do you live in a city that gets crazy when summer rolls around?

sad but true...I dont know why it is, but people get crazy in the heat -
Re: Warm Weather = Guns and Violence
People feel warmth, they get the urge to act like *******s.
Everybody is outside, girls are wearing next to nothing...it sends a shot of idiotic adrenaline into the system and too many people have no idea of controlling it. Either that or they don't want to control it at all.Comment

Re: Warm Weather = Guns and Violence
The Toronto area is especially bad in the summer. If it's not street gangs and drug gangs shooting each other up and killing innocent bystanders along the way it's the street racers who drive recklessly not only on the highways but on the regular streets!
Summer of '05 was the worst, somehow I have the feeling this year might be just as bad. I don't know why that is, it's just a vibe i'm getting.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

I thought Toronto was friendly people and blue water? Someone else said '05 was the worse too, bad year!
Man, gangs are gangs but it seems like every little crusty eyed kid is talking and acting hard around here! I'm tired of hearing about these 13-14 year old kids shooting people, it makes me want to tell them there is no Santa then slap the **** out of them.Comment

Re: Warm Weather = Guns and Violence
I could remember in psych class when we talked about this. Basically in the winter you have a bunch of people that didnt want to be outside bc of the weather, who now that it is nice out, are outside. When it gets really hot out you then see a further spike (ever been stuck in a hot room for a couple of hours?). On average there is less crime during the winter in cold areas, but there are a lot more factors in play than that, but those are some of the main trends you could see.Comment

Re: Warm Weather = Guns and Violence
When I first heard that line I thought that it was so so true. Now around this time of year EVERY year I end up singing it, it's ridiculous around here, 13 in one day, 32 for the weekend ranging in ages from 12-65...Always looking for solid CF25 Dynasty owners, follow the link to get started >> PS5 P5 Dynasty DiscordComment

Re: Warm Weather = Guns and Violence
It's not as bad as American cities but the per capita rise in crime in Toronto has been a little disconcerting. There's one huge factor for the violence which I won't explain on these forums because it'll be taken the wrong way but unfortunately there's some truth to it.Damn Toronto is that bad!?

Re: Warm Weather = Guns and Violence
I agree with that.
Summer time is busy time for us. 110 degrees in the shade seems to get people going. Robberies, shootings, stabbings, domestic violence, dope sales, foot pursuits...it all skyrockets.- The true measure of a man is how he treats someone who can do him absolutely no good.Comment

I still can't wait to see your *** on Cops; those bastards need to put you on already!
It seems they've done the whole LVPD but you
Everytime I turn it on, I see a different Vegas cop. On Saturday, I saw a funny one in Vegas- some dude was jacking coins out of the fountain at one of the casino/hotels, can't remember which one. One cop caught the dude, gave him a warning and then an hour later the guy was busted by another cop at the same fountain, LOL
I always look for anybody named Matt on there so I can say- I kinda know that guy

Re: Warm Weather = Guns and Violence
This is soooo true of any city that has a harsh winter that litterally keeps crime at bay by keeping the trouble prone, inside their homes...
Spring / Summer fever hits, everyone goes outside, mingles, goes haywire....Comment

Here in the midwest, its universally known that the worst time to work in the emergency department is the first really nice weekend of the year.
